A couple things: 1) If I open Beaver and nothing else (and am allowed to combo off), I like to turn jet and blue into Pure Light in order to get beaver back to hand to ensure follow up next turn, then just link the Gigantic and Pure Light away for the Sprind since it's unlikely Gigantic is gonna survive til your turn anyways 2) Related to 1, I wonder if it wouldn't make some sense to turn blue and jet into the melffy XYZ right away then link it away for sprind in order to play around Super Poly. End on Sprind, Double Cross, Catty and Mannequin cat (or I:P into S:P if you are rich lol) 3) With regards to Mannequin, I've been running it forever but it comes up extremely rarely and I'm tempted to just cut it. What's its uses outside of special cases like turboing out Spell Canceler/End of Anubis/etc? 4) I'm loaded to the brim with going 2nd options (16 non-engine in deck: 3 ash 3 nib 3 droll 3 imperm 2 mourner 2 talents/ in side: 3 shifter 3 belle 2 L Storm 1 harpie 3 DRNM 3 cosmic). Does it pay to put in specific going 1st cards? I've always liked Anti-Spell in this deck, but lately I feel like if we set up turn 1, we just don't need cards like that. Hi there! Thanks for the comment. 1) I do like the idea, but in the instance where I end on Carrot/Red and have Smashers set, it gives me a little more room to order my tributes/Smashers banish. It also gives me the extra body to dettach off for Sprind's bounce in case I am forced to tribute/banish the Melffy of the Forest (MotF). You also might have to give up a handtrap for the beaver, and therefore it doesn't feel great to lose out on the extra XYZ and lose on a card in hand. If you end up drawing amazing, I don't see why you shouldn't though. 2) There definitely can be an argument to play this line, and I will consider playing this if I play against a deck that definitely runs Super Poly. Only issue is that MotF works so well in conjunction with Catty against Fenrir and Bystials, so getting the maximum amount of value from the end boards is usually my go-to. This line is also good though, and I prefer it over the first! Good find :) 3) The end board typically has MotF as the XYZ. I would only summon Mann Cat if I want to beat over a
@@theorangegriffin7531 Thanks for the in depth response! The only reason I run Mourner over, say, 2 Veilers is because it is still live when I side in my Shifters. If I didn't side Shifter I'd definitely opt for Veiler. And agree on Nib, it's been disappointing me a lot lately. Could be a good call to side them in favor of Cyclones
@@theorangegriffin7531 Ah I actually had 1 more question. What do you think of Pixies? I often find myself missing it when the opponent drops a big unaffected dude on board and Gamma Burst just isn't enough to take care of the job. It's an extender also, which is neat
@@ak47dragunov depends on what the monster is. Usually Smashers/Mosquito/Ty-phon will deal with it if it's untargetable etc. Otherwise, I can only think of Noir, where you won't be going into the BP, so Pixies won't come up. Not worth the spot.
