WOW so many haters hating on the American Bully. Look not every breed is going to be perfect. You can say that about all dog breeds now. The American Bully is an amazing and awesome breed. Sure there are flaws..but like I said there are flaws in all dogs now. The American Bully was bred to be a companion and show dog.
American bully have flaws like English Bulldogs. Show me some american bullies that have straight back, feet face forward, strong rear. All I see is high rear, bow legs, weak rear, cow hook. People claim their dogs are Razor Edge, show me some Razor Edge dogs that looks like Razor Edge in the 90s. Pedigree show that they're Razor Edge but the dogs doesn't look like the 90s Razor Edge. Why? Cause people are hanging papers(mixing).
Looking at this dogs conformation, and other images of others, I would like to know if this breed is overrun with Elbow Dysplasia? The pocket size looks like it would have a wealth of conformation problems.
It's called good angles and photoshop. Put the dog on a hill, pull his hind legs back and then his rump isn't higher than his head. Keep the front end in focus and the back end blurry, and instant good looking dog. He is NOT well put together, his shoulders were so far out, they are practically dislocated. Dog should not stand that way for a reason. See how flat his chest plane is and then how his rib cage drops down? That gives the dog short choppy breathing motions. For an exotic he wasn't TOO bad, but he was bad, as are most exotics. Look up canine form, and compare. These dogs are even more unhealthy than the english bulldog, and they are purposefully bred that way. The breeders should be ashamed of putting out such creatures, but it's all about the money for them. Which is sick.

And even if this dog is THAT bad compared to most, how many of them have shoulders wider than they are tall, who CANNOT STAND, who have a spine so sway backed it looks like their back is broken, and who have shoulders standing so far out from the body, they are easy to separate and dislocate.. Not to mention that NONE of them do any kind of health testing on their dogs. Breeding dogs is fine, breeding healthy dogs is paramount. These are NOT healthy dogs.

They have joint problems, breathing problems, digestive problems, breeding problem, tons of problems and daily pain because of how they look. Think of the old foot folding that was done in China. This is what people who breed these dogs are doing. They are causing the dogs to be born into a broken non functioning body, and that is something that NO ONE should consider beautiful, considering the pain and ignorance behind it.

The XL, Standard and Classic aren't THAT bad (even if they are still cross bred mutts). It's the EXOTIC that is the worse off, being bred by fool who know nothing about how a dog should move, how this kind of structure if bad for a dog, and think because a dog stands 10 inches tall and 20 inches wide at the should it's bad ass. This dog cannot move. I have a yorkie that has a more flowing gait. My mini rotties catch better and if I wanted something that fat, I would get a pot bellied pig.. Which is the other thing.. On top of the physical deformities, exotic breeders usually have super FAT dogs, This particular dog, while less grotesque than many exotics, is still a tub of lard. The dog doesn't walk, it barrel rolls, and any some you scritch a belly and all you see if jiggling fat, there is an issue. I feel sorry for these dogs. The average exotic lives 4-5 years,, the average E Bulldog, lives 6.5 years. They have managed to create a dog that is inherently MORE unhealthy than the english bulldog. And they are proud of themselves. Frankly, I can't wait for the lot of exotic breeders to start being arrested for animal cruelty for deliberately breeding deformed animals with short, painful lives.

looks like a pot belly pig. no disrespect to any breeder or the dog but in my opinion (which may mean very little to everyone) but this dog was bred from a pitbull a beautiful, strong, loyal, strong animal and i know american bullies are to be companion animals but i would have hoped all categories of the American bully would have a lot of the same qualities and unfortunately based on this video of the micro category i don't see that. i am a fan of the bullies though and am in the market for one but would love to find one who is health and very active
