Pet Shop Boys - Yesterday, When I Was Mad (Junior Vasquez Radio Mix) (1994) [UNRELEASED]

- Of the many Junios Vasquez remixes of this single form the "Very" album, only three Dub versions were officially released (Fabulous Dub, Factory Dub and Body Dub). The production and arrangements on them always seemed somewhat disconnected to the original song, because no vocal mix was ever released to recoignise the link between the original and the Vasquez productions, but that link do exists and finally thanks to this unreleased radio version we can discover how the music elements are related.
Also, after hearing this one, we can recognise that the vinyl only "Body Dub" is just a variation around this mix: it has the same lenght and basic structure of the radio edit, and even some vocals are in synch between them if you press play on both mixes at the same time. ;)
I hope you´ll also find this enlightening, as I did. ;)
If you like the musc, please support the artists!
I can understand why it wasn’t released. It’s an awful mix. 😅
It sounds really awkward in many moments, I agree!. The most valuable point of it is just to understand from where the released Dub versions came from.. :P
I agree & I'm a fan of most juniors mixes but not all. He did a bad job also with Julio Iglesias jr
Hey Pacalo, YES PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE UPLOAD vibe or and Praise mixes!!!! I’m probably one of the few people who loves the Tribe and Trance mixes so fascinated to hear 😊😊😊
haha OK! They´re both on the same vibe of the Tribe mix (not the Trance) but even simpler. I´ll share them soon. ;)
That would be amazing
What an outstanding piece, Pacalo !!!!.... I miss the days of Junior Vasquez in New York City ........ :)
Are you from NY? I was there for the first time last year, attending to the Pet Shop Boys + New Order gig. I want to go back!!!
@@Pacalo Yes I am...:) I saw the Pet Shop Boys every time I could (even though `I rarely go to concerts believe it or not) I saw them in 1997 for the Nightlife tour, then again for the Super tour a few years ago at Madison Square Garden, which is not far from where I live.
@@Pacalo But I have been many times to clubs where Junior Vasquez used to spin, those times others were Victor Calderon, Peter Rauhofer.... at the Tunnel, Limelight, Sound Factory, then Twilo, and the Roxy.... Ahhhhhh....:)
@@tahaduri13 So great!! I went to the Madison to see them last year..and I thought that was their first time there..but if you saw them there years ago, it seems that I was wrong!
I wish I had the chance to go to some of that clubs some time... For sure a marvelous experience...!
@@Pacalo The Pet Shop Boys have performed there every chance they could (see their book PSB Vs American there is some of it there.) I think they've always loved New York, I mean they met Bobby O the first time ever at the Apple Jack Diner on Broadway...:) As for the clubs, well, most are gone now.... I am hoping for some resurrection in our lifetime.... but things always change...
Waited years to here this and your other unreleased PSB mixes Pacino, Thanks so much 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
My pleasure! Thanks for your feedback...
The edit that should become the real single edit though I always preferred One in a million as last single from Very.
I’m waiting for unreleased Moby mixes of Miserablism, or if there is an unreleased Moby mix of another song that hasn’t been released.
What I like about this one, is it has elements of the remix that was released but is closer to the original. So you can see how it was intended to fit in with the vocals.
I do like the bass sound. To me this song sounds fresh, I like it. The first time I heard it was pretty exciting.
Exactly. I think it´s a necessary listening to understand from where the dub mixes came from...
Pacalo, have you ever came across the unreleased It’s Alright mixes by Joe Smooth and Julian Perez??? 👍
mmm...sadly not...both on my wishlist too, maybe some day!!! I also heard about them, but still waiting for a "sound" confirmation that the rumors are true...
There is a set of Sarm West instrumental demo versions of It´s alright, at some point I´ll post some of them if they´re not on UA-cam at this point, but maybe you already know that.
@@Pacalo mentioned in literally by n+c...they exist but are unreleased.
Thanks 💖❤💖
Hi Pacalo
Many thanks for the replies!! Not sure if I’ve heard the sarm instrumentals!!!
These are brilliant what your posting my friend keep checking every day 😊
Another for the wish list Kevin Saunderson remix of I Want a Dog as confirmed in an early edition of Literally!!! Speaking of Saunderson I still have never heard the Praise Reese mix of “Go West” does this actually exist???
Keep up the fab work buddy 👍👍👍
Thanks to you for your participation here! yes, the Saunderson´s Praise Reese of Go West do exist, I have a copy of it, never checked if it was on UA-cam or not!. But it´s nothing really great..it´s just a basic drum base with a couple of "Oh-Oh-Ooooummm" chrorus loops sounding all the time and some "C´mon -c' mon-c' mon"s by Neil Tennant. Maybe I´ll upload it as a curiosity at some point!
The Kevin Saunderson´s "Reese vibe mix" is a little more elaborated, but nothing fabulous neither..I don´t know if you heard that one!
Ah yeah, this is the one from the cassette tape. Has some other mixes on it too. This has leaked a fair while ago.
Yes it´s from tapes, But remastered, and it seems that it´s not on youtube, so...
