I could watch the second half of this video 100 times and I would never really get bored of the beautiful scenery. This is one of your best ever bus journeys my friend.👏🤝👍
Never visited your country, one day im here would like to hop on these bus rides.but thru these video ,one can know your country better enjoy beautiful scenery and bus rides...watching from start to end...from my bed or big tv screen. thank you very much, look forward to more.
Watching this Journey is fascinating, such a lovely journey. From Grasmere once the bus starts up Dunmail Raise, there is a cottage on the right just before Raise Cairn called Raise Cottage, back in 1977 it used to be owned by the Youth Hostel Association; we used to stay there and walk up Helvellyn. Such happy memories of my childhood
I could hear Bob talking all the way from Chorley with the 3 or 4 ladies who he obviously knew quite well. The funny thing was that he gave a set of directions out, the EXACT SAME set of directions to the same woman I think 3 times (at separate parts of the journey from Chorley) but I must say that he gave very good directions because he was clear and concise and he never really complained. He had a very nice way with him and a good sense of humour. I think Bob must have disembarked between Grassmere and Keswick, to be exact I think it was at the junction where there was a large Gate.
It's not often that part of your bus journey videos sees us joining a national motorway like the M6. But if that's part of its route then there's not really much we can do about it, but just make the best of it.
The M6 is a very good example of what can be done to help provide a good infrastructure and road network. 3 lanes North and South between Birmingham and Carlisle or Glasgow (if you add on the M74). If only they could mirror what they have done up the West of the country on the East. You have a good start in the form of the M1/A1 between London and Edinburgh, just upgrade the remaining single and dual carriageway into 3 lanes North and South so that it mirrors the M6/M74 in the West. I realise that it won't be cheap but it ain't gonna get any cheaper and if you can do it you know it will be worth it.
Only runs Saturday and Sunday. One round trip each day, Summer only. Chorley to Keswick, and return later in the day; so it is in fact a day excursion. Probably intended to encourage bus use rather than a load of cars. Well appointed bus for the journey through.
I think that they are Lancashire accents by the sound of them. At least 2 ladies and 1 gentleman. I know because we had a friend of the family for many years who had a very distinct Lancashire accent and that's exactly what his sounded like - he would often be invited down for Sunday dinner at my Mum and Dad's house. But people from that neck of the woods are often very good people with a strong moral compass in otherwords they are usually very decent folk and I have a lot of time for them.
Assisto a todas publicações e assisto também os comerciais. Gostaria de saber se a data da postagem é real, pois na Itália, na Espanha está calor e vejo o pessoal em Londres e em Glasgow de agasalho.
It is easy to see why Cumbria C C and the Park Authority want to reduce the influx of cars, roads are badly choked and there is indiscriminate parking as well.
you wouldn't want to drive these busses at high speed, they become a lot of work to keep straight very quickly. The suspension just isn't designed for it
I drove the sisters of these in torquay Awful things compared to the scania n230 They rattle and the drivers cab is borderline illegal it’s so cramped Better than a normal cummins e400 tho

Excellent video. And the passenger chatter is an added treat.
Thanks for watching

I really enjoy these, when the weather is reasonable again will have to take me son
Absolutely beautiful scenery to enjoy, especially after you were able to leave the M6 and join the country roads of The Lake District.

This a brilliant video of an amazing journey. One for the to do list. Thanks.
I live in West Cumbria, and I did not know about this bus route. Thank you for making be aware of this route now.

I still need to try this😍
Day out for the Last of the Summer Wine crew
Came here expecting a relaxing engine noise. Instead I was entertained by the passengers. I could listen to them for hours!

They’re just loud 😅
Nothing to see on the M6 Motorway so it was fun to watch that section at 2x speed (looks like a racetrack.) 🐨🇦🇺

How much return ticket
Lancashire ???wow
What's the legal top speed of the bus on the highway?
56 mph
One way how much!???
Wow cool
Nice fast
This is about 90 miles long isn't it
Is this a new route?
X8 has always operated but its one of the long distance bus routes that is not well known or not well documented in terms of videos and photos.
This is a weekends and public holidays only summer seasonal service which already exists for years.
It used to start from Manchester but has been starting from Chorley since around 2011
Return how much!dear/??
Holy shit, the bus sounds like it’s falling apart. And I thought the Chinatown NYC buses were sketchy. 😬
Language, please!
It’s a Dennis
They are built to rattle
A drivers knightmare
DAB busses sounded the same when you drove on roads this crap. The slightest bump and the whole thing rattled like mad.

mega driver
I wish there weren't speed limiters on these buses
It’s the law

What an awful driver
mightily queer: GB'ers grumblin about missing bees & co yet still mow grassy tracts around there
