When Disney goes back to what it used to be, and stays there, I might be interested in investing. Until then, we are not supporting anything to do with Disney. Will not visit their park, will not buy any Disney products, and have cancelled Disney+ streaming.
A company who would choose to alienate some of their possible customers is not a company worth investing in....especially one that chooses to get political which Disney is the MOST guilty of. Not that the stock won't go up but imo other far better companies ran by smarter people who choose to try to get ALL possible customers to invest in.
I have personally been a shareholder for a few years. Originally bought due to brand recognition and not much knowledge then continued to buy due to it becoming cheaper and cheaper. This dividend is just another benefit to it. I do not think the stock will rise fast or recover until at least 2026 roughly due to talks of expansion of parks and maybe a new build with Iger talking about wanting to keep building, and a few years of successful movies and shows. I will not be selling since I know it is a strong brand and I will make money on it eventually and I do have time on my side. Also on a personal note I love watching all of their movies from Disney Animation to Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, 20th Century Fox, Blue Sky, etc with my daughter so it is also an introduction to investing for her that we can invest and "buy" the company we love to enjoy as well
Michael Jordan was confronted on why he did not endorse a democrat for President. He famously responded, "Because Republicans buy shoes to." Johnny Carson said, "Never alienate half of your audience." We have become such a polarized society. One must ask, how close are we to the point where we say, "there can only be one." Long Live the Highlander!!!! (I had to end this with some humor)
depends on your goals! I am ok with a low dividend if the company is high growth like Visa or Costco, but I have time on my side before I need these dividends to pay any bills.
Ive been holding disney for years. Not super enthusiastic about past growth. Div return is ok but I am hoping they will continue to grow in value long term. Will not be adding more except drip. Thanks for the video
I have held some ever since my Marvel shares converted to DIS around '08 or '09 whenever that was. I did trim my position in Feb 2023 since the price spiked then and struck me as a little too high considering how tough it's been since covid. Currently just holding remaining shares since Disney owns a lot of intellectual property and characters etc
Controversies tend to pass (see situation with Taget). Disney seems to revel in it though. Ill pass. Too much controversy, Marvel and Pixar and especially Disney have seen too many duds lately. Im sure they will be fine as a company, but i dont see any major growth for a while.
No thanks. There are so many better stocks than Disney.
Yeah I agree!

I'm not interested in a company that disrespects their fan base and customers. I'm glad to see back to back vids from you Nick!

Used to be a Disney guy but they have made so many poor decisions with their content and ideology

Disney 🤮
Go WOKE go BROKE.....a hard PASS!
A small dividend every 6 months is like no dividend at all

@@DivGrowthIncome but Disney is no Apple, unless it gets bought by Apple.
No dividend, is no dividend at all. 🤷🏿♂️
