Great idea to use the jewelry cleaner. Strangely enough despite so much grime on the rest of my daughter's 221, the faceplate is sparkly clean. I hope you'll consider doing a video on cleaning the underside of the machine. I can't get over the built-up grease and dirt on this little machine and don't want to do anything damaging in an attempt to clean it.
Have you ever tried dropping the bobbin case in the ultrasonic cleaner?!
How can you tell just by looking at itvwhat year it is.
Can you restore the shine to those parts if they are now dull looking?

Hello Darlene. I have a celery/white FW that needs to be stripped and painted. I have gotten it mostly taken apart but can't get the extension bed off. I see they are pins and not screws. Any advice would be appreciated!
