Listening to Alexisonfire since 2004. My 5 songs are: Rough hands This could be anywhere in the world (first song) Happiness by the kilowatt Control Pulmonary Archery All the songs are beautiful!!! Love u guys! The only band ever❤️
Speaking of AOF and songs that changed your life, Adelleda. Spent my high school career listening to that first record front to back. Eventually went off to college for a whole half a semester. Lost interest and focus on school and starting jotting down lyrics and band ideas in lieu of note taking. Right there at my desk I decided to ditch my next class for the day (for better or worse) drive across town to meet up with the homies and started a band called Kennedy Curse. We spent a couple years biting off that sound and in a way that whole experience all ties back to the first time that song just absolutely blew me away.
Can't wait to see both Dal and George on Saturday and Dal TONIGHT playing to a hometown crowd @ Montebello Park! Love them both and WELCOME HOME, ALEXISONFIRE AND CITY & COLOUR! ❤🎉🤘
so glad they talked about slint!! i knew they were inspired by don caballero too, since they're on the same label as slint, maybe that's what they mean by being open to so much new music.
boiled frogs- alexisonfire. this song changed my life and i showed it to my dad and he never come around when it comes to my music and he fell in love with it too. i cry every. single. time. i hear it. so heart achingly gorgeous beyond words.
It should have been 5 songs each. Great interview though Dallas's choices weren't shocking. He has talked about them before. I enjoyed hearing George's choices and really loved the Tears for Fears curve ball. lol
I love these kinds of interviews because it lets me find new music I might otherwise have passed over. Even if I don't particularly vibe w it it is always fun to expand your palette.
Could listen to George and Dallas talk about songs all day! Should have made it 100 songs that changed my life 😂

il be there Saturday!! cheers!
I made it for the Sunday and it was a Legendary night! 🤙
The fact that they love Alice in chains slint, and Jeff Buckley makes me love the band more than I already do.
I'm a massive metal head. Love alexisonfire. Also love Tears For Fears. Glad they made it on the list!
What a couple of beauties.
My "5 Songs That Changed My Life" would consist of AT LEAST one Alexisonfire track
Same
Never heard anything by these guys. Give me their best song to check out?
This
@@jeff7764 Treat yourself and go give their album Crisis a full listen through.
This could be anywhere in the world
Dallas looks so different now!
so glad they talked about slint!! i knew they were inspired by don caballero too, since they're on the same label as slint, maybe that's what they mean by being open to so much new music.
"He did not die.. then. He went on to live for the rest of his life"
Cool seeing Slint on here, never would’ve expected to see them as an influence to Alexisonfire. Spiderland is an eerie masterpiece.
Can definitely hear the Jeff Buckley in Dallas's voice and you can definitely hear the slint influence in their sound
God I love hearing my favourite artists talking about their favourite artists
They've got great taste in music , no surprise. Wish the video was longer.
.....how does George look exactly the same?
he's aged like a fine wine. But tbh Dad Bod George from 2019 was my favourite
Love that Slint made it on this list. Massively underrated band!
I knew there was some Alice In Chains influence on their last album
George has not aged
awesome so stoked on these guys being back around again
Man it's so great to hear a band talk about other bands like I feel about them

Leonard Cohen and Jeff Buckley are just two different people that played "Hallelujah"
:(
When you look at it that way, aren't we all just different people who played "Hallelujah"?
Slint Spiderland is an incredible album
last time i listen alexisonfire is maybe around 2009's before that their tracks is always on my winamp, and don't know this band still exist now 😁
Cohen is so so great
this was wholesome I need more please
Dallas reminded me of Pippin after he drank the Entwater when he did that thing @0:56 XD
Man it feels like I’ve been watching these guys most of my adult life ..
George rocking the Fogtown hat 🙌🙌🙌
Slint and Alice in Chains?! These guys have wicked taste!
Tears for tears always makes me happy . Dead on 👌
I love that they love Jeff Buckley.
Jeff Buckley's music will always be relevant.
Dallas Green sing me to sleep one more time
Is it my imagination for does George look a lot like Bobo from that reality show Finding Bigfoot???
Dallas looks so old now, Christ haha.
Anybody feel old?
Obviously Dallas would have Chains on his list....that was a guarantee
my thought when going into this video haha
Love them but... yeah. Let's just say that music taste is unique to everyone.
who would've thought a mere 20 years could turn someone from a young emo boy into a 60 year old sea fisherman.
😂 20 years in Canada is longer than 20 years anywhere else.
Dallas looks so weird these days. Like a different person for some reason.
Great interview
Unbelievable! Reach out to me.
Gold
Ha - “pillar of grace” , well played gents… The Switcheroo Series 2: Alexisonfire vs. The CBC
Funny, I work as a medic for concerts. Good choice Alice and Chains and Slint.
Cover of Them Bones by Grave rips. Original rips. RIPS!!!!
It should have been 5 songs each. Great interview though Dallas's choices weren't shocking. He has talked about them before. I enjoyed hearing George's choices and really loved the Tears for Fears curve ball. lol
George + Dallas, one song that changed my life was To A Friend - Alexisonfire
Jeez when I heard the album my brain went back to how I remember them looking. This video made me feel old. 😂
George looks like Tommy Wiseau here lol
Seed of Love is one the best records of all time.
dallas looks like tom green
Dallas look over 60..how old is he?
There's this new thing called google
He’s 41…time has not been kind to this man
@@newfolksong i reckon..dude looks 65🙄
He’s aged like fine wine & looks damn good to me.
love seeing his hero is gone mentioned in a cbc youtube video
Surprised Sade didn’t make the list,
You know, they could have both listed 5 tracks of Pip fartin on a snare drum... as long as we all received Alexisonfire as the end result, I'm happy.
I thought they broke up twice?
Dallas Green changed my life
Miss you guys, great chat.
shout out hamilton
Yeah, Slint!!!
boiled frogs
I love them.
As an artist from Hamilton,Ontario I can say we have some great talent music wise.
I love these kinds of interviews because it lets me find new music I might otherwise have passed over. Even if I don't particularly vibe w it it is always fun to expand your palette.
I thought it was Alex Is On Fire...
....its...its alexis??? On fire?? I thought Alex Is On fire. Gosh I'm dumber than rocks
Man…this sucks.
“Aggressive music but also beautiful and melodic” is exactly what I love about Dallas. It’s also what I love about Emarosa w/ Jonny Craig. 🥹
George didn't pick a Nick Cave song WUT?
