Take a look at pop up portal on the web for very good resources on this system currently. I am still learning them to, and have yet to do this particular job on your camper. Thanks for reaching out and I hope this is helpful.
I am concerned about our cables. I can see that one corner is slower to lift than the other three. Is there a video on how to adjust the cable tension? or might this be to a different problem? How do I find the correct height of the lift arms? 2008 Avalon
Coming soon in video format Ralph! We do have the written step by step instructions as well available at colemanpopupparts.com under the link Instructions.
Curious if you can answer a question. I just bought a used pop up previous owner had cable replace. Crank up was perfect however when bringing down it stop about a foot away and wouldnt crank anymore or go down.
This is commonly a stage cable issue in that arm. If the cable is holding "memory" it may not be folding itself properly into the arm when it retracts. Please take a look at our lift arm videos covering this topic and how to repair it.
So my husband just put our pop up down on Wednesday, Thursday drove it to the lake and it won’t go up!! We are in over our heads and need help!! Where are you located??
Hello have you done a video on replacing thrust bearing on a camper yet I have a Fleetwood element that is kind of hard to crank and really unsure on how to change it out
Hello Nicklaus. For the cable length, refer to the cable cut chart. You can also find the lift system repair manual under the link INSTRUCTIONS at colemanpopupparts.com/pages/repair-guides
you had a step in the plan for setting the roof height but you did not show how to do it. How to get the cables the correct length and then adjust them.
All your videos are so great. I have a 2007 Fleetwood Saratoga Highlander. All cables and wiffletree are intact, but I want to replace them due to some bad home repairs from previous owner causing fraying. Do the lift arms have to come out for bolt end cable replacement, or can they stay in place and attached to roof using supports? Any panels need to be removed for that scenario? Thanks a lot. -Wes

Very difficult to find, but can you tell me the cable lengths on a 2008 Fleetwood Niagara? I recently bought the universal bolt end cables from Coleman Pop-Up Parts (think they were 235" if I recall,) but need to make sure I am cutting them to the right size as I need to replace all four cables.
Hello Keith! The cable cut chart calls out 195” for the front, 129-3/4 for the rear. Here is a link to this chart from our webstore. cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0273/4347/files/Cable_cut_chart_pop_up_camper_pro_3a1233b9-1130-40e0-a1c3-92c0890393df.pdf?v=1625092823
How do you adjust the roof height? Mine is lower on the door side, and needs to go up about 3/4”. I know the adjustment is done at the whiffle tree, but what specific steps do I take to adjust it? Thanks
Tightening the cable bolts or eyelets increases the roof height. Loosening them lowers it. Minor adjustments are done at the drawbar on the whiffle tree, major adjustments can be done at the pulley's before the butterfly brackets. Here you can typically find 3 positions to make or take slack.
