They never wanted to be a state at that time. They wanted to be part of southern Syria per their first leader Mohammed Amin al-Husseini. They turned down a state consisting of 85% of the country and the rejected it on the premise that Jews would Get “any” of the land . The argument is over the moral equivalence is over . The whole situation is tragic I agree. There’s not gonna be a two state solution at this point.
@@AM-613 indeed, because before 1967 the concept of a Palestinian people or identity didn't exist. They were just arabs living in a place called mandate Palestine, no different from the arabs living in the french mandate.
The point he made at 5:53 ...I believe...Both peoples were able to do because they believe in God Almighty and this is how potent religion with all its conviction can be if it is used to steer your drive in the right direction.
Because of UN 242 and 338, and numerous subsequent agreements and commitments on both sides that affirm those as the basis for the future Palestinian state
Great speaker! Too bad he got so much wrong. I don't think he is anything but misguided in his understanding. This conflict is so little understood because the history is so long, 4,000 years, it is so complicated, so much of the facts and circumstances have only been communicated in languages that English-speakers don't understand.
That is a narrative that’s been spun on the west and brainwashed them back and forth. Read Ilan Pappe’s The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine. Read Norman Finklestein’s books on Gaza and the topics. Read and watch Gideon Levy’s papers and arguments along with those of Miko Peled’s. watch the documentary Tantura, made by Alon Schwarz. Do note that every author I have mentioned here are Israeli Jews, whose parents literally survived the holocaust (with the exception of Norman Finkelstein, he’s an American Jew, whose parents survived Auschwitz). Not mentioning any Arab sources here so you don’t have to tell yourself this is bias speaking, so educate yourself on this matter from them, instead of listening to it from the western media, who never once put Palestinian lives as equal to that of Israelis
Best speaker of the bunch
Wow. Fantastic speaker.
The best speech.
His introduction of Palestine is so riddled with falsehoods.

Why do people say 67 borders? The very document/ armistice that created those lines stated that these lines should in no way be construed as borders!
Because of UN 242 and 338, and numerous subsequent agreements and commitments on both sides that affirm those as the basis for the future Palestinian state
Incredibly factual. Not at all opinion heavy.
How can you afford talking about this imaginary solution in a far away land, while your own society is crumbling down.
The one and two states solutions are dead. The solution is a one state and an autonomy solution.
those scare tactics tho
what does "sticks and carrots" mean?
Carrot means reward and stick means punishment.
Wow
This guy deadass compared the Holocaust to the displacement of Palestinians in a war Palestinians started. 😦
Are you going sit and wait when someone is trying to take your home away

Thinking further back than today and tomorrow is a choice
Five Arab armies invaded Israel in 1948 , 22 Arab countries expelled its Jews , in 1967 thhe Arabs declared genocide ,

Which came first?
Oh wait, Israel fucking up the native Palestinians and the Arab world having to take in thousands of Palestinians...
Once the Palestinians will embrace reality and will agree to receive all they CAN as opposed to all which they WANT there will be peace.
