Attention professional lash techs: I did not make this video to offend you all in any way. I am not teaching people how to do this, I am just sharing my experience of what I did to myself. I know you care about people on UA-cam a lot and feel the need to share your input but negativity doesn't really help any one and I would suggest making a video to release all that energy instead of focusing on shaming me. However I do appreciate the constructive criticism💙 Thank you :)
REMINDER: I am NOT a lash tech nor a professional in anyway. Just sharing my experience with you and if you are to try anything, do so at your own risk as you can easily hurt yourself and/or damage your lashes or worse YOUR EYES! This was a risk I was willing to take and although I did not take any courses I did A LOT of research. Thank you!
Update: after further research I will NOT be buying anymore Mink lashes due to the cruelty behind them.I do not judge anyone who wishes to continue to use them but this is a personal choice I have decided to make thank you:)
Update: I am going to try a different adhesive to share with you all. eyelash glue listed below if very strong and hard to remove and result in me pulling out a few eyelashes or breaking them.i may opt for more of a "beginners glue" Also do not get lashes wet for 24 hours so I always do this after a shower so that adhesive has to e to set before next shower. Bi did not wear any mascara on lashes and I cleaned them with a gentle face cleaner I use daily by using my fingers/mascara wands and gently brushing them.
I am in no way a professional just a curious girl who likes to try things myself. I also do not recommend people try this unless they are confident in their hand stability and have lots of patience this is not an activity one should rush through in my opinion. With the help of the internet and UA-camrs I have attempted my own eyelash extensions.
This is my very first time trying this myself. I have had my lashes done before by my cousin who is a lash tech. Total time for myself was 4 hours :O I do plan to get faster haha

I have been a Lash Stylist for 47 years. Yes, 47 yrs! Not just strips, but Individual Lash Extensions have been around for a long, long time! (they've just become more popular in the last 10-12 yrs). Many things have been added (types of adhesive, lash tools, lash sizes/curls/lengths/widths, etc., and a lot of other things that are not really necessary).
I've never had anyone else do mine, I've always done my own lashes!
Applying Lash Extensions is my passion!!!

Haha yeah my cousin is a lash tech and she was not into it but she checks them for me and it's actually surprised. I watch a lot of lash vids and read about extensions haha and it takes a lot of time and patience 😊
Erin P Erin P I did my my eyelashes aswell, by myself. Of course i’ve missed few lashes but I had no problem with the glue. It sound a bit crazy doing it by yourself but it works. The thing is that it takes forever to apply them. I’ve been doing eyelashes for some years, so girls IF you wanna try be very carefull with the glue, read about it, check some videos. Don’t do it if you don’t have any idea about extensions. Kayla, pretty good job! 🤗✨

Tred this last night after watching your other video, so hard! LOL I did not realize you had a magnifying mirror like this so and I think if I get that you don't make a huge difference! I feel better after watching this video and you explain how long it took a falling out because same! I was like maybe I'm just doing this completely wrong but that made me feel better that it's pretty normal to struggle the first time. I might try again later with magnifying mirror for sure.

Girl get the paste remover from amazon works better then the gel. The gel will stings so bad!!!! Your lashes are on point though! I’ve been doing my own for a while now you’ll get a whole lot better with practice! It takes me about an hour to do a full set of volume on myself.
Wow you are much faster than me! Any tips ?! Haha I want to learn how to do volume I just bought the right tweezers and the thinner lashes so if I get better I'll do video haha. Thanks for the paste remover tip I'll look into it. Yes that gel is the worst haha!
I start on the top layer of my lashes then with my tweezer I kind of brush them up to see the lower layer and begin filling those in. I move from side to side giving them time and space to fully dry. Once I feel like I’ve gotten most of them I brush them to get the loose extensions off and start from the front of my eye and work my way back looking for lashes that I’ve missed. And as for the volume, girl Ive Watched video after video on how to make them. Ive seen different techniques just try them and see which technique works for you. Practice with extensions that you wouldn’t mind wasting because you will be messing up ALOT lol

I’m an esthetician, please be careful if you do this. I mean don’t do this. If that glue got in her eye she could go blind and careful when using that tape, some of them can catch fire. Lol there’s a reason this is done by trained professionals because that adhesive glue if it touches cotton starts to smoke. Also using this glue with your eyes open can cause a chemical burn on your eyeball.
But she cannot use this glue past 4-6weeks. That’s the shelf life of lash adhesive.
I suggest using ardell individual glue for this.

Great job! I'm very impressed. I get my lashes professionally done and sadly, I like yours better because you are using individual lashes instead of fans. I've gone to multiple lash techs and they always use fans to get the job done quickly. I've seen your other videos. They were great!

Just bought all the stuff you suggested and it’s all coming tomorrow I’m so excited to try this at home. I love diy videos for cosmetics, I tried the cluster lashes but those become difficult to clean after a while so I stopped applying them. Thanks for the informational vid! 😊

Great tip on using the angled tweezer to apply and the straight tweezer to isolate. I've been doing the reverse that's why I'm having such a hard time.

This would be annoying for me because I have curly lashes. But I practiced isolating them just with tweezers and it’s time consuming but fine. I’ll just need to keep practicing

I’m not mad at this at all! You did a bomb job and it looks great. Seems like you educated yourself on this first and took all of the precautions necessary so all of these negative comments aren’t warranted. I love lash extensions, however personally I’m not siked about spending $150 or more on them just for it to last 3 weeks or so and then have to pay another $70 to get a refill. No bueno! So good job to you! It looks fantastic! Thanks for doing this.

Yeah I will! Didn't actually think anyone would see this video. But I will. And I'll try to make another video because this glue is wayyyyyyy to "permanent" last long but very difficult to remove. But I'll link what products are in here

Hi there thank you for your kind comment! I linked them in the info now. I will be trying a different glue soon because this one was a little stronger than I would have liked but it did work well! Just hard to remove. :)
I use the same glue , my tip is to wear contact lenses just in case , it doesnt let the fumes directly touch the eye , but ur doing a good job . The thing is after 3 weeks the lashes grow and it becomes weird so do u use any lash remover ? Because i used everything apart from it falling alone or me pulling my big weird lash nothing works. I do use mascara and remove it with and oil makeup remover and no lash comes off
Hi yes i use a an adhesive remover i think I linked it. That stuff is strong too so don't get it in your eyes let it sit on lashes for about 3 min and takes them right off ! Had to learn haha my first go around I didn't know how to use it. How did yours come out ?!?🥰
@@chympmunck Till now i did it 2 times the first time i used a big mirror with great lights and spend 2 hours on it it came out great . the second time i didn't have time and good lights so it was a big disaster hahaha i lost all my lashes after because i didn't do a good job with the glue . Anyways love your videos keep up the great work ;)

Hi not at all! I know hard to believe not once did the fumes irritate my eyes. Might not be same for everyone I am sure

I actually blew in them as I went haha and yes if I didn't they would start to. I got a new adhesive that's supposed to be a lot less fumey haha so I will put new vid soon 🥰

My natural eyelashes are layered and pretty full, I cant do fake ones on myself 😔 so frustrating

Does this tear off natural lashes?
It does unfortunately and I would say that I would get more of a "beginners" glue because this one is like super glue. Even with the adhesive remover it was pretty tough to take off. But they last a long time. More than I wanted haha
The biggest reason it took off or broke off my natural lashes is because I was trying to remove them without waiting for them to come off naturally
If you put them on right they won’t. Your natural lashes fall off by themselves anyways after about 45 days so the fake lashes will just fall off with them.

Hi ! Yes it can be very dangerous! My personal experience i have not experienced any burning or eye irritation for the 6 months i have been doing my own lashes

Hi thanks for view and comment. No mascara used in video nor do I use them on the extensions. taped outer corner because my top eye lashes in the corner touch them slightly.

A lot of things are very dangerous from self-medicating, skin-care regimens, hair processing, even shit we eat, but people are still going to do what works best for them.
Your natural lashes are already long and beautiful! Nooo you will ruin them overtime, it happened to me 😐
I will be most carful and stop if things are not going well. But honestly my lashes have never been healthier because I am more cautious of them and not so rough when extensions are on. thank you for your concern 😘
