All great points and the most important I think is that you "don't talk shit" whether about a family member or someone else. You allow open communication that is respectful and honest but not "bashing". So important to ask questions and do a perception check so you understand if what you are perceiving they said is actually what they meant, keeps you out of emotion. Something I work on every day as I am naturally a reactionary person. I've learned "the only emotion in business is celebration" ... great post
Absolutely! Keeping communication respectful and focused on understanding rather than judgment can truly transform workplace dynamics. Embracing open, honest dialogue while steering clear of negative talk contributes to a healthier and more productive environment. Learning to navigate emotions in business is a continual journey, and aiming for a celebratory approach is a fantastic mindset to adopt. Keep up the great work!
These were excellent points the goal is to solve problems all get paid. Gossiping not help. We all know each others weakness what can do to make us all better. I like the no bitching just to whine.
Absolutely! Focusing on solutions rather than gossip or complaints helps us all grow collectively. Identifying weaknesses constructively and working together to improve benefits the entire team. It's about channeling efforts into positive actions that drive us forward.
Great points and explanation of the mindset behind handling day-to-day issues with staff… Love the focus on removing emotion… Also really appreciate you defining yourself as an Integrator… Very helpful as I’m putting together our team!
Thank you for your kind words! Keeping a clear mindset and focusing on solutions rather than emotions can indeed make a big difference in day-to-day operations. I'm glad the insight into the Integrator role was helpful for your team-building process. Best of luck as you put together your team!
@@thenataliedawson Thank you, Natalie!.. I would love to hear about how you go about replacing yourself and pruning the wrong people from your circle. I read through your other answers and appreciate your thought process. 🙏🏽
Emotion can be a big barrier to overcome, and also ego. I'm a problem solver, but that can be enabling for someone else who is 'always right' who then expects everything will just get done when unrealistic expectations are set.
You're absolutely right. Emotions and ego can indeed pose significant challenges, especially when paired with unrealistic expectations. As a problem solver, navigating these situations requires a balance between finding solutions and addressing the root causes, including managing expectations. It's a fine line, but essential for fostering a collaborative and realistic work environment.
