I’ve never seen anyone apply lightener on top of permanent color, and I am BEYOND here for it ? What made you do it and not be scared ? I love this a lot
This was my first time I just wanted to try something new to be honest so I started with a section in the back and once I saw how that was going I decided to do it all over. I line to try new things sometimes lol so random to be honest

Application was done really well, however I wish you've painted the lightener a bit more 'artistically' so it didn't look like a straight line of dark roots then light hair. It just lacked a bit of shading, I think. Other than that, job well done! Always so satisfying to watch your videos 😊

@@CLoveBeauty yes relaxer and bleach in the same day is a big no but the whole point of bleach is to be able to lighten the hair to dye the hair.

What made you lift with a permanent color first and then use lightner?
To achieve her base color which is the darker chocolate brown shade and bump her up a few levels

Whats the difference between Saran wrapping and foils please?
Foils conduct heat a lot more than serán wrap. I use serán wrap if I’m trying to get a little extra insulation or lift and foils for a higher lift.

Hey !! Love how thorough you are with showing us this process !! I am binge watching all your videos ! Could we do highlight with bleach first then apply the colour or does the highlight necessarily have to be applied during/after the coloring process like you mentionned in the video ?
Thanks so much for watching and it honestly depends on the color you’re going for. For example if I have a client who wants a darker base with highlights then I’ll do the base first and then highlight.

Would you suggest coming in with dirty hair? I’ve heard freshly washed hair could cause issues with coloring
I recommend that clients wash and detangle their hair about 2 days prior during the consultation ✨

Why do some people bleach their hair to get the same color? You didn't even have to do that and no extra unessasary damage to the hair! I'm just wondering because it seems like whenever I look at hair videos they bleach their hair before coloring. I understand when the colors are neon colors or colors like blue or green where you have to bleach but I've seen people bleach their hair for normal regular hair color. I don't get it.
It honestly depends on what your clients starting color is or if they have a previous color that needs to be lifted as well. I figure all of the hair history out at the consultation so that way I can tell my client exactly

Finally, a black hairstylist that creates low lights and highlights to give color dimension and depth! Her color looked BEAUTIFUL! However, the style fell a tad bit flat. Her hair lacked body and shine...maybe some layers and using a different curling method...Keep going though!
