1. The God who Breaks out or Breaks Through
2 Sam 5: 20 So David went to Baal-Perazim and defeated the Philistines there. “The Lord did it!” David exclaimed. “He burst through my enemies like a raging flood!” So he named that place Baal-Perazim (which means “the Lord who bursts through”).
Breakthrough - a break, gap or breach, especially a gap in a wall
Baal-Perazim - the Lord who breaks out or breaks through
2. The God of Breakthrough who Breaks us Out
Ex 9: 1 Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, so that they may worship me.”
Is 42: 7,13 You will open blind eyes. You will bring people out of prison, out of the prison where they live in darkness. 13 The Lord will march forth like a mighty hero; he will come out like a warrior, full of fury. He will shout his battle cry and crush all his enemies.
Is 49: 9,25 I will say to the prisoners, ‘Come out in freedom,’ and to those in darkness, ‘Come into the light.’ They will be my sheep, grazing in green pastures and on hills that were previously bare. 25 But the lord says, The captives of warriors will be released, and the plunder of tyrants will be retrieved. For I will fight those who fight you, and I will save your children.
Leadership - He breaks us out, so we can help others breakout
Micah 2: 13 (NJ2000) The breaker shall go up before them; they shall break through and pass through the gate and go out by it; and their king shall pass before them, the LORD at the head of them.
3. The God of Breakthrough who Breaks us into so we can Possess
Deut 8: 1 live and multiply and go in and possess the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers.
It’s time to possess - to inherit, possess, seize, and occupy
Mic 3: 8 I am full of power by the Spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his rebellion, and to Israel his sin
Endurance, strength, force, capacity, wealth, means or substance
Is 61: 1-2 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God;
To proclaim, release from financial hardship, and financial bondage
The Spirit of power for financial breakthrough is upon us to possess
Deut 8: 18 And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth
4. Our Part to Play - The Gates of Hell can’t stop the Breakthrough
Matt 16: 18-19 And on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
Breakthrough requires revelation of God’s will and purpose
All Breakthrough requires faith and obedience
What has the Lord revealed and what are you sowing for?
Josh 6: 20 the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man, and they took the city.
