You could make a tier of resin printers according to your opinion. My only printer so far has been the Elegoo Saturn 2 resin printer and the truth is that although it is not a bad printer I have had several problems. I would like to buy a new one in the near future and I am very undecided if it is worth buying another one of similar size or looking for a large one. I am also quite far from the new technologies of resin printers, I don't know if there is one that you can resume a print after stopping or for example in one of your latest videos you showed that in the elegoo 4 they have an improvement for suction A kind of tier would be great, you are one of my favorite content creators, thank you very much for always uploading honest reviews unlike other creators
Is pretty expensive for the equipment. Pen plating equipment can be bought for 2-3 times less (aliexpress, done that myself). You just need to buy the gold solution and also preparation solution as some metals won't hold gold well.
200 for a voltage regulator and a pen probably worse than a thin paintbrush (with the metal tip retaining the brushes used as electrode) is quite a steal
I love my Plating pen but most of all I would like to thank VogMan for his Help Over the years, He is he creator of my Busyness logo, and helped me with choosing a 3D printer And I owe this guy a lot I thank you for all you have done and the next time you're in Wales give me a buzz. I owe you one buddy! Johan out!
As other commenters have said it's a lot for a simple electrical power supply. I'm gonna just buy some juice from Cousins and use my adjustable bench top power supply, which will let me set the voltage and also limit the current. I use that thing to power a wax pen and all other kinds of things, so no cost. I'll be wiring up sable paint brushes, empty fibre tips held in a pin vice, and, yes, cotton buds.
@@vogman I'll report back - I'm an electronics guy and I can do the measurements and sums to devise the minimal effective setup for cheap gits like us :)
Hello vogman... I have a skull ring design that I would like to see printed and cast in silver or copper. Can I send you the design and you can make a video of it?
Love the Shield and the raven ring. Well done!!!

amazing video buddy really enjoyed this want more like this
Could you also show plating prepped (copper base coat) 3D prints? I am looking for a cheaper method of gold plating 3D printed props
very cool. i wonder if this works with other colors other than just gold? (if it's in the video, sorry, i had to fast forward a few times)
Nice vid man, always wondered about it. In comparison with normal plating, is the layer just as "thick"?
That's cool! I'd never seen something like this before.
But what do you do if you were always bad at coloring 😅 Thanks for sharing 👍
This is so cool ! Thank for the video
No problem!
Oooooooooooohhh, I've wondered about pen plating for a while. I might save up my pennies for one of these!
Golden video :)

Excellent video good sir.

Give it a go! Keep the voltage low... maybe even use batteries. If nothing else it will be a fun experiment for you 😁😁😁

Watching this and thinking 'battery, wires, cotton buds, gold solution' - got to be worth a go, right?
yeah you could probably use a 9v battery, just make sure your soaked cotton bud is connected by a thin wire
