I honestly never expected I’d end up liking Elroy so much; at first I was sure he was a control freak that would make the main character his health nut slave, but by a half hour in I could tell Elroy was a “good guy” they would end up bonding with his “host”. Really a great story.

I have a new hero and his name is Elroy. He guided my favorite put-upon and absurdly tormented narrator from one situation to another each one more preposterous than the one that preceded it. And Elroy did it in the most enigmatic, suspicious and unhelpful ways possible. This took the whole mismatched partners theme to levels I never imagined possible. What I did know was Lighthouse has an ocean of sarcasm and irony in him that he just barely manages to hold in check yet Elroy and only Elroy managed to fully breach the dam and let all that humor and sarcasm and indignation explode freely throughout this epic which was a cross between a stand up comedy routine and a horror story at the same time. I've only laughed this hard at two other Creepypastas. One concerned a man and his much tougher wife who have a health fanatic cult move in next door who can do things like transform themselves into a giant interlocked human spider and scuttle around the neighborhood. The other concerned an extremely old and haunted grocery store but that's a different story. In an odd coincidence both were Lighthouse Horror productions. This one took the prize though. I haven't stopped laughing since minute way. Make no mistake - Lighthouse Horror is completely out of his mind but in a way I wish many more people were. And it's our amazing good fortune that he's teamed up with writers who share his uncanny feel for the absurd and he has the comic delivery of a true master. Of comic delivery. And his channel has given a safe place to fans who know that 99.9% of the problems Creepypasta characters face can be resolved with the liberal application of fire. Absolute perfection with this one and bravo to the writers both for the story and the choice of narrator. While I didn't know the meaning of the title I do now and took comfort in the near certainty it could be conquered by a raging wall of flames and am still convinced. As for you, Elroy, I sincerely hope we meet up again someday you irritating little bastard !

Because if you think about it, we all have a fear of death however some people's fear is far reduced because of other mental stimuli such as an absolute love of adrenaline or a love of danger and it's purest forms, so in the end we all have that phobia, but some people have it a lot worse than others. Because if you ask an adrenaline junkie who just jumped off a building onto a trampoline only to realize the trampoline broke and he's now a minute from dying if he's scared of dying he's going to say yes. Thank you both to the narrator and the author. Great story and narration. Started this near the end of my shift and had 40mins left when I got home. Needless to say the first and only story at the moment that I had to keep listening to at home. Keep up the good work both, hope to hear authors additions soon

Loved this story very enjoyable and entertaining 😁👍 keep up the great work and ty so much for not killing the story with ads that always seem to kill the climax of the story people don't understand how much ads mess with the emotional ride of a story

I have a second job as a golf course maintenance worker. I spend most of my mornings (5 am to about 1:30 pm) by myself on a mower. These stories help the day go by faster as it's like watching a movie with my minds eye. This particular story is probably my favorite one I've listened to in awhile. Thanks and keep posting!!!

49:56 This will come back to bite you. You should have objected to the framing of that question with an answer like "I do not consent for you to manufacture circumstances or withhold information which increases my chances of death above 0.1% during my life before my body's age reaches the median age of people who die naturally of old age, and for anything else, I prioritize the activities which bring my chances of death from any level above 0.1% to below 0.1%". That's my best disclosure I could think of on the spot.
