We have arrived in Vang Vieng, a place that we always wanted to go to. Vang Vieng is a small town north of Vientiane, on the Nam Song River in Laos that attracts many backpackers due to the striking limestone mountains that surround it.
As our goal from entering Singapore was to make it all the way to Vietnam without taking a flight, Vang Vieng was a stop along that was a must see for us. After doing some research on google, we came across a few blue lagoons in the area's surrounding Vang Vieng that you could swim in, and if you know us, there is no way we are missing out on that.
We were also told about a viewpoint called Nam Xay Viewpoint. This is a viewpoint on top of one of the craziest climbes we have ever had to endure, but my goodness, once we made it to the top, we were rewarded with one of the most beautiful landscapes that we have ever seen.

i first went to Vang vieng almost 20 years ago and it just blows me away how much its changed
there were no massive tall buildings or banks etc that i remember, it was like a quant town, now it looks like a mini city
but ill always love the place, its sooooo beautiful
and ill always be stoked i got to do the proper tubing with all the bars and drama before it was shut down(bloody aussies)

The view point and lagoon looked like fantastic places to visit, even in rainy season. So what was scarier,the bus journey or riding across that wooden bridge.
