Asher Kennedy, 30, talks to us about having experienced a stroke at a young age.
Men often conceal issues in their life because they feel the void of safe spaces to express themselves. Whether physical or mental, men carry scars from their life experiences that they seldom share with others. My Scars, My Story is meant to give men a platform to publicly reflect and share these moments.
My Scars, My Story was an idea created by one of the co-founders at Sons of Hollis. To bring the project to life, it required the collaboration of creative artists that were the best at their craft. Steve of JSYK Productions was integral in the development of visually capturing the portraits of the storytellers and Sebastian of Abandoned Art Productions developed the treatment and masterfully shot the interviews. Together they create the team behind "My Scars, My Story".
