I have family in a very large newer build concrete block house in Tampa engineered for this. They're staying because of all the problems of traffic and trying to return to clean up. Once it passes, Lord willing he can start the tarping, tree cutting, etc and keep out the looters. Praying for all staying there.

Residents know what past storms have done and how their property withstanding them. 5. Structures are built to withstand the wind up to code. 6. Flooding is the greatest danger not the wind 7. Good grief. They still haven't healed from Helene. Now tornados. One and I say loosely one positive is most people have been evaluatined due to the hurricane. But the double damage I'd heartbreaking.

well everyone in south and central florida be safe greetings from north florida i think you guys should come up in northern florida and head inland where its safer dont try to be crazy and risk your lives in the central and southern part i am aware some south parts of florida may be safer then others but just in case yall should think about coming up because this storm could go anywhere after it hits we nobody can know the exact path of a storm the weather centers can only speculate its most likely effected areas but some storms can deceive our minds and change course so keep your eyes peild if you still have power and if power is out head to safer buildings built to withstand the hurricane force winds a mobile home wont be a good fit hurricanes can be unpredictable sometimes so if you are on the coast head inland and make sure you are on high ground and think about your families safety or the safety of everyone around you take cover in a sturdy building that can handle the winds and can handle flying debris and most importantly be safe and dont go outside until you are given the clear that goes for you people who are not from florida and might be curious debris can be dangerous even after a storm like this even if the storm clears debris and flooding can still be a threat to life or injury
