The overdrive side on this thing is maybe my favorite Tubescreamer style pedal ever. The AC Booster and Green Rhino are the other two, but the AC is so far removed from it's base in the TS circuit, as is the Rhino but that one does have a "Classic" 808 mode.
I don't know what VS did when they designed that overdrive, what components etc - but including separate mid and treble controls and the sharp/blunt switch was genius.
So yeah, maybe #1 VS zJ&H
