Hey guys, at the end I mention the delivery fee, and I compared it to the Ocean One. The processing fee is the same for the Sport model as the Ocean One, and the delivery fee is extra. I confused the Delivery fee with the processing fee. Thanks to all of you for watching. Sorry about that.
This is great! Even though I didn’t lock in my reservation in August with another deposit, I am still looking forward from my position 32,000 people in. Your videos throughout the year have been a godsend, Adam. I know I speak for thousands of Fiskheads when I say extreme thanks (or Ultra thanks) for your expert guidance.
Hi, Adam - great job on your thorough run thru on the order confirmation. I completed the process on my Ocean Ultra (20” F7, Sea Grass, Black Abyss Plus) with my confirmed order date remaining at August 7, 2022. Received confirmation from Fisker that I will have the option to purchase the Ultimate package and/or the Performance package as OTA updates at some point after I take delivery of my Ultra! Keep up the good work!
This is great news regarding the upgrades! Thank you for sharing, and congratulations! I think your configuration sounds super sharp, and I think you made a great choice with the sea grass. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
Adam, Ordered mine also Ultra model with interior black abyss upgrade, plus winter and performance packages, floor mats and retractable cargo cover. Congrats, Kim
Hi there, I made a reservation on my Ocean Extreme in April 22. I‘m a German and wonder if there hasn‘t been any news on delivery here. Thanks for very informative and well researched videos!
Germany is one of the Launch Countries, so your country will get the earliest European Allocations of the Extreme. I’ve got a video that explains more, ( ua-cam.com/video/01pfOH-4lyE/v-deo.html ) Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
I reserved it initially because of the price 3 years ago. A lot has changed, but I might as well stick to my original goal. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
Great Question! It is possible this year. Fisker says they intend to build 42,400 vehicles this year, and with 65,000 to total reservations, there’s a certainty that thousands of these will have to be Ultra/Sport. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
I don’t know why anyone would add optional packages to the Sport or Ultra trim at Point of Sale. Since these packages are all available to be purchased afterwards and turned on through OTAs, the only thing that is happening, is one is incurring a higher tax burden.
do you think that you can get the rotating screen after installation as well... that would be cool. I have the ultra on order and want the intelligent and ultimate packages. if i can get those after it would save on vehicle tax amount :)
@@josephcombs3715 Yes. During my build configuration this morning for my Ultra, I specifically asked about the hardware for all optional packages being embedded from the factory and having the ability to simply purchase any of packages after delivery and Fisker will unlock through an OTA. I test drive the Tesla model Y this weekend and love the way it drives and the price for the RWD, so I was wondering if I cancel my Fisker Sport do I get back my $1000?

Exciting! I got an email too for an ultra order. Since I intended to get the tech package and white interior I need to compare with the extreme, actual cost and payments. I may go for the extreme. Question: I live in the desert and I want to be able to remotely precondition my car in the summer. I also want to leave the AC on when the vehicle is parked. Does that mean I need to buy the winter package for the remote preconditioning features? And is this preconditioning the type that Tesla has as part of precharging? Thanks for another great post.
I think the winter package will be necessary to get the preconditioning experience in the cabin that you’re looking for. The Ultra/Extreme will have the heat pump, but we don’t know what cabin overheat protection will look like, or whether it’s part of the winter package. As soon as I know I’ll share. Congrats, and good luck making your selections, Cheers!
@@Aslash304 You are correct. Under the winter package the only reference to “cooling” is under Remote Climate Control. Thanks for walking us completely through the ordering process Adam! It gives me a lot more confidence on the Fisker ordering back end, to include financing, fees, delivery options etc. One question for you that I haven't found the answer to yet - If you order a model with the Solar Roof option, does the solar roof also passively/actively charge while the car is driving AND does it still charge if the sun roof is open and driving, and/or parked? Not a deal breaker, but would be interested to know if the car will be generating usable energy beyond regenerative braking which would be another Fisker first for any EV out there.
The Solar roof does have the ability to charge the main DC pack, so whatever portion of the roof is exposed to the sun will charge the car. I hope this helps answer your question. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
Hi Adam, I learned you've reserved your Ocean Sport in January 2020, I ordered my Sport (a plain one as well) only in April 2022 , what a gap ! It will be very interesting to see the delivery time difference in the end,.will it be the same 25 months ? If it happened like this, I would lose 4.500 € support by the german state and one year free charging by Fisker, since that present is limited to deliveries up to the 31. of march 2023 - it does remains exiting.

Great information. What I’m struggling with is that the Fisker ocean and sport will not be eligible for the $7500 tax credit. Is that what you understand? that’s a deal killer for me.
Great Question: Only those who converted from a reservation to a deposit in the US are eligible for the tax credit. And even then, that is uncertain. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
Now that you are done, does your order date still show Aug 7 2022? Or is it now like Mar 3 2023? I need it to keep the original order date on the outside chance we can get the tax credit.
Confirmed my Ultra! Went with Mariana, Sea Salt Interior. Kept the 20inch wheels (I’ll deal with them later). Got the Performance and Winter Packages. Just shy of 60K…
Very nice spec! Mariana is a great choice, will look great with the sea salt interior! I feel the same way about the wheels. Congrats, and thanks for sharing, Cheers!
Are there any plans to make the cars available for a test drive? I never purchased a car without driving it first. Plus a live in Florida and in addition to driving the car I have to experience the sunroof in the Florida sun before I can make my decision. Considering the sunroof do not have an inside curtain to block the sun, it may proof to be a dealbreaker for me.
There are many people with questions about the roof, this is a great point. Test drives in the US will start in Los Angeles at the first Fisker Center. More Details in this video ( ua-cam.com/video/01pfOH-4lyE/v-deo.html ). Otherwise, sign up for email alerts from Fisker, and there may be events in your area. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
Great Question: Since I’m in a state where it’s illegal to buy a direct sales vehicle, Fisker cannot collect the sales tax for the vehicle on my behalf. I’ll be responsible for paying it myself directly to the state, out of pocket, when it’s registered. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
Did you say you only receive one key/fob and have to pay for the second one? I would say that is inappropriate/unacceptable. Does your key phone app serve as a backup for a key? Even if affirmative, I would still say you should receive a second key fob.
Any word on the Flexee payment plan and how to see the details if that is your financing plan? The only reason I ordered one is for that offer. $2,999 down, $379 a month, 30,000 miles! It opens up "leasing" for high mileage drivers. I want to see where my payment is based on the few options I added.
Great Question, and I totally understand the excitement about the lease because of its high mileage allowance. The Lease option isn’t available at the moment. Sorry to disappoint. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
Received a reminder (second notice) to place my Sport order this morning. For reasons I have stated previously I have serious reservations about this vehicle and yes I am a share holder. Quiet honestly, right now, it is about a 50-50 chance I will cancel prior to the lock but much will depend on real world reviews. So still on the ride…..
Adam, given there is still a long lead time and things could change (with regards to final vehicle specs), would we be able to cancel our order at a later date if we confirm now? I really want to see and drive a true production vehicle before actually buying it. Thanks.
All you need to do to cancel at any time is log in to your account. The cancel button is located at the bottom of your reservation info, not matter what part of the order process you’ve gotten to. You’d sacrifice the $250, otherwise, Feel free to confirm the order. The longer you wait, the further back your place in line. I hope this helps, good luck with the process, feel free to reach out if you need more help. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
I received the email to lock in my order. If I lock in my Extreme can I cancel later? I still have not seen a Fisker Ocean, and once i do then I will make my decision. I live near Los Angeles.
Has Fisker already given out any Information about thermal management of the different batteries? How do they plan on avoiding the cold gate effect? Will there be active battery heating or just preconditioning like in the Hyundai ionic 5? Thanks for digging up information! Michael.
This is one of the risks of going with a startup. The best thing to do is look at other vehicles that are outfitted with CATL batteries and seeing if they have systems for preventing cold weather losses. If I find out more, I’ll make sure to share. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
I placed my order for the Sport trim but in the options they didn't have a roof rack for my surfboards, even though the option icon has a Fisker Ocean car with a roof rack😄
Dam, that price is doable, I put in a reservation for the ocean last year. I'm thinking about going forward with a deposit if they hit me up to configure my ocean. Hopefully, my credit recovers from that nose dive 2 years ago.😅
I have same reservation order, but just base s port with 0 options won't be getting winter pkg, even though I live by Chicago, IL. I'm still puzzled what are we getting without expensive ultimate pkg will we be able to stream any music apps like Spotify, or nothing. I need to know that before I finalize, if not what's the point of having such big display
@@tonyn3227 in this video at 4:53, I looked at the wording for the premium connectivity feature on the Ultimate package. Based on the wording, streaming video seems to be out, unless the package is added, but normal UI functionality seems to be included with every Ocean. Use of the word “higher” and “premium” are what I’m basing this on. Spotify isn’t a premium feature, nor does it need higher data rates. It falls under normal functionality imo. I hope this helps. I’m making a whole video about it, stay tuned.
If you make a reservation they gave you a referral code in the past. I don’t know if the program is still active. You can contact fisker to see if they still do it. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
The short answer is no. If you reserved an ocean in the past, and took some additional steps, there may be a qualification. I go into more detail in this video ( ua-cam.com/video/teBLX34kxdc/v-deo.html ) and this video ( ua-cam.com/video/G07LCmmeFkQ/v-deo.html ). Hope this helps. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
I have not heard anything about the lease. I would not count on this lease option being available in 2023-2024. The demand for the vehicle is too high, and the lease creates logistics issues for Fisker. Hope this helps, Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
Great question: unfortunately the $7500 is a refundable credit. You would file your taxes for the year that you take delivery of the vehicle, and your tax liability would be reduced by up to $7500. If your tax liability for the year is less than $7500, then it would be reduced to zero. I hope this helps. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out. Thanks for your comment, cheers!
@@lejend69 from what I can tell, you would want to choose your configuration to finalize your order. The best thing to do is find a way to sign in to your account on a desktop browser. I would also contact fisker to see if they have an alternative. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help, Cheers!
Price hike! My configuration hasn't changed since the tool became available months ago, but that's fine, I know I needed to lock it in so I was happy to do so. I hopped on the configurator, went through all the steps, and hit submit, only to be greeted with a never ending "updating" pinwheel. A few days I did this, and finally used the chat with rep option. They told me they escalated it and I should try again today. So I did, and now the price on my configuration is $1k higher than it was yesterday...but it actually worked this time. I hate to be pessimistic, but I can't help but feeling like that was an intentional glitch.
Did you convert your reservation to a deposit in August 2022? Those that completed that step are the ones getting this email. Feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions, Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
The $7500 is a refundable credit based on your individual tax liability, and would be claimed as a refund on your individual taxes with regards to the Ocean. Only the credits applied to new vehicles under the new terms of the inflation reduction act will be point of sale, and that process won’t switch to point of sale until 2024. The Ocean isn’t eligible for that credit, because it is built in Austria. Hope this helps, feel free to reach out if you have additional questions. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
I have not received any email yet. I paid $250 to reserve an Ultra in January 26th. How do I convert my reservation into an order like you did? I didn't receive an email to pay 5K. Did you that's why yours got converted into an order? Please help! Thanks! Love watching your videos - never boring, just straight to the point!
Great Questions: I reserved my Ocean in January of 2020. Then, in August 2022, there was a 9-10 day period where Fisker offered reservation holders the chance to convert their reservation to a deposit, because as soon as the Inflation Reduction Act went into law, there would be no tax credit. During that few days, the US Allotment for Ocean Ultra and Sport sold out. The people who got in during that window are currently being offered the opportunity to configure their orders. I hope this helps. Please feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions. Thanks so much for watching, Cheers!
Fisker Ocean Ultra Blue Planet 20" Sea Salt Upgrades and Options including tow hitch 77.210,-- Euros Model Y LR Deep Blue Metallic including tow hitch 55.520,-- Euros You want to tell me that the Fisker Ocean is 21.000,-- Euros more luxurious than the Tesla?
Great point. Definitely not. Those that choose to get the Ocean are most likely looking to stand out on the road. Tesla make a better value proposition for an arguably better vehicle from a more mature company at a lower price. The ocean is an emotional purchase for sure. Thanks for your feedback, Cheers!
Why are you excited about delivery fee of $500 that's on top of $2400 he's charging, it's insane $3000 delivery , no one charges that much, I may cancel order just because of that, he's making over $2000 profit on freight alone
I totally understand if you decide to cancel. I pinned a comment regarding the $2438 fee, I mistakenly thought the delivery fee was the processing fee. If I am just doing the math - $37,499 plus $2941 for processing and delivery is $40,440, and that doesn’t even buy a base Ioniq 5 before taxes processing and dealer fees. Thanks for your feedback, Cheers!
The destination fee seems very high time or am I off base here? I got the same notification his morning and have concerns on the Sport range without the heat pump as well as a few other considerations. Do we have any more clarity on US rebate status?
The destination fee is high, twice Tesla. But Tesla could raise the price of any model $1,500 on a whim any moment. As of today, 3/4/23, we don’t know if any vehicles qualify for a tax credit. The IRS stated guidance was coming this month, but the previous guidance expired on 2/28/23. I’m afraid we won’t know until Q1 of ‘24 when people start filing their taxes whether or not the Ocean tax credit is available for certain because it’s a small group in a small window, and an exception to a rule. As for the range, the Sport is LFP battery chemistry, so you’d have 100% of your range available daily. The One, Extreme, and Ultra have NMC chemistry, and should only be charged to 80% daily for battery longevity. 80% of 350 is 280, which is only 30 miles more than the Sport. Hope this helps, thanks for your comment, Cheers!
@@Aslash304😂 I never done the mats but I was wondering about the difference of range for both batteries... Thank you so much! So the biggest differences are the power and the price
I appreciate your reply but as a past stock holder of BYD very much aware of the advantages/disadvantages of LFP vs. NMC. Actually the comparison of range that you did I posted on one of the Ocean forums months ago. I have been all in for LFP and a major consideration in reserving the Ocean. Being retired since 2016 my 2013 BMW X3 only has 50k miles. Where I reside in the PNW I have no real need for AWD and that was another consideration for the Sport. What has given me pause is the interior (only black) as well as the funky, to my eyes dash. The Nov. release of the specs with no heat pump on the Sport is not sitting well after Henrik stated all models would have one. As you, I have opted for few options, winter package, tow(for bike rack), interior+. GM estimates their "heat recovery system" (heat pump) affects range by 10%. Although most evident in winter, of course, as with our home heat pumps they help with summer efficiency as well. So waiting for real world testing for the Ocean as well as the Chevy Equinox EV as well. Yes, bang for the buck is a consideration as well and indications are the Equinox with upper level trim, 300 mile FWD and 280 mile AWD (NMC) will be comparable in price (bottom line) to our oceans. As well as at least qualifying for at least half of the federal tax credit. So much to consider......
This whole thing is a freakin disaster. I would never trust this company with the software and safety of a vehicle. Seriously the worst software/web experience I think I have ever seen. It just gets worse and worse
@@Aslash304 Magna is putting it together. The software that drives all that hardware and systems is 100% Fisker. That is what is of great concern based on what they have demonstrated thus far

Is there no tax on these vehicles? Like state tax? If not , how do they get away with that? Thx in advance!
Thank you so much for the heads up. Just confirmed my sport trim. We can always purchase the packages later on, correct?
Great Question, Yes. They are labels as Over the Air, so they should be available later. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
Did you say you only receive one key/fob and have to pay for the second one? I would say that is inappropriate/unacceptable. Does your key phone app serve as a backup for a key? Even if affirmative, I would still say you should receive a second key fob.
Yes this is frustrating. Key fobs are expensive. Thanks for your comment. Cheers!
Good video Adam.
Thanks for watching, Cheers!
Any idea how to choose financing through a different bank? Just choose cash?
Great Question, Correct. And just pay Fisker in cash.
Ok submitted configuration and it came to just under $43,000. With taxes and fees adding almost another $7,000 for a total of a bit under $50,000……
Congrats! I’ll keep an eye out for more news as it becomes available. Thanks for sharing your experience, Cheers!
Yes siir i confirmed my ultra.
Congrats! Thanks for sharing, Cheers!
Do you know if heated (or ventilated) seats are available without the winter package?
Unfortunately, heated seats are not available outside the winter package, and ventilated seats are not available. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
Great Question, and I totally understand. You can always cancel, you would forfeit the original $250 reservation fee. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
GREART VIDEO !! Thank you
Thanks for watching, much appreciated. Cheers!
@@Aslash304 thank You!
No option for Flexee Lease at checkout?
Great Question: Correct. As of right now, it’s just people who want to purchase. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
Can we change the trim level from extreme to Ulta after reservation?
No, unfortunately not. Only ultra to extreme. 2:12 of this video offers an explanation as well. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
I placed my order for the Sport trim but in the options they didn't have a roof rack for my surfboards, even though the option icon has a Fisker Ocean car with a roof rack😄
I didn’t see a roof rack option. Disappointing indeed. Thanks for sharing, Cheers!
Dam, that price is doable, I put in a reservation for the ocean last year. I'm thinking about going forward with a deposit if they hit me up to configure my ocean. Hopefully, my credit recovers from that nose dive 2 years ago.😅
I’m routing for you! I hope the invite comes soon. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
Great point. I agree. Thanks for your feedback, Cheers!
@@Aslash304 that doesn't bother you seems like
@@tonyn3227 in this video at 4:53, I looked at the wording for the premium connectivity feature on the Ultimate package. I’m making a whole video about it, stay tuned.
may i ask what is this referral code🤔 and where can i get it. any advantage using this code?🏆 thanks
If you make a reservation they gave you a referral code in the past. I don’t know if the program is still active. You can contact fisker to see if they still do it. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
@@Aslash304 thanks man!👍 coz i wanted to reserve ultra and sport. coz i am not yet sure which one to purchase..🤔
@@roadstoridenorwaydriving101 ultra has heat pump. Big Range advantage.
Is there a tax rebate for fisker ocean?
The short answer is no. If you reserved an ocean in the past, and took some additional steps, there may be a qualification. I go into more detail in this video ( ua-cam.com/video/teBLX34kxdc/v-deo.html ) and this video ( ua-cam.com/video/G07LCmmeFkQ/v-deo.html ). Hope this helps. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
Any information about the sport lease process. I emailed Fisker last month, and still no response.
I have not heard anything about the lease. I would not count on this lease option being available in 2023-2024. The demand for the vehicle is too high, and the lease creates logistics issues for Fisker. Hope this helps, Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
Being closer and closer to certification!!!
I’m very excited. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
Why $750? I did the Extreme and mine says $0. Did I miss something?
Happy to help! Let me know which item you’re referring to and I’ll address it as soon as possible. Thanks for the comment, Cheers!
But does it have navigation?
Yes indeed. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
When do you see the 7,500 come off rebate ?
Great question: unfortunately the $7500 is a refundable credit. You would file your taxes for the year that you take delivery of the vehicle, and your tax liability would be reduced by up to $7500. If your tax liability for the year is less than $7500, then it would be reduced to zero. I hope this helps. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out. Thanks for your comment, cheers!
Thx bud now what happens is you dnt have a desktop but I have my car saved already will they use that one on app or give me a auto made one
@@lejend69 from what I can tell, you would want to choose your configuration to finalize your order. The best thing to do is find a way to sign in to your account on a desktop browser. I would also contact fisker to see if they have an alternative. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help, Cheers!
nice trim🤔 i want more range but ultra is a bit pricey. nice one👌
Thanks for watching, much appreciated, Cheers!
I’m sorry to hear this. Thank you for sharing your experience. Cheers!
I did my configuration and there was an additional Destination and Handling Fee of $2,438
Indeed. Mine had one too. It’s shown in this video as well as referenced in a pinned comment. It’s an awful lot. Thanks for your feedback, Cheers!
I didn't get any email from Fisker. I'm able to log in to my account and it shows my reservation, that's about it.
Did you convert your reservation to a deposit in August 2022? Those that completed that step are the ones getting this email. Feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions, Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
I do not see a $7,500 EV tax deduction on the configurator for those who converted their $250 to an order or even for those who plucked down 5K.
Fisker Ocean Ultra Blue Planet 20" Sea Salt Upgrades and Options including tow hitch 77.210,-- Euros
Model Y LR Deep Blue Metallic including tow hitch 55.520,-- Euros
You want to tell me that the Fisker Ocean is 21.000,-- Euros more luxurious than the Tesla?
Great point. Definitely not. Those that choose to get the Ocean are most likely looking to stand out on the road. Tesla make a better value proposition for an arguably better vehicle from a more mature company at a lower price. The ocean is an emotional purchase for sure. Thanks for your feedback, Cheers!
@@Aslash304 Ahh ok i understand. Fisker competes against BMW, Volvo, Mercedes. Yes that makes sense.
@@Aslash304 plus tax .mine came to $43500 out the door. Without any options
Just for base car
@@Aslash304 I include tax everything most people don't and I don't get why. Like they aren't paying for that
The destination fee seems very high time or am I off base here?
@@manuelsevigny6855 yes, and the sport only has FWD instead of AWD.
@@Aslash304 yeah, I admit that in the north, four wheel drive and a heat pump would be nice. But still, the Sport trim is great at that price!
6% interest rate..... that's ridiculous.
Agreed. I will shop around for sure. Thanks for your comment, Cheers!
the software is garbage - done in india half a$$ed.
