Except for the bazooka, the black GI Joe, and the MP helmets-I had ALL that given to me as a kid in the 70's from an older friend. I recognized every single item.Haven't thought of looking it up until today. Boy what a blast from the past.
Beautiful collecton. I played with Joe as a kid in 1965-69 and had a lot of stuff, but most of it got broken later and then thrown out as I got older. I also started trying to get my old Joes back around 2003 or so as I thought it would be fun. I was able to get most of what I had, plus some I had never had but wanted as a kid. My favorite was the SOTW series. Even as a kid, I loved the German !
These are some beautiful examples here! I'm from the UK and collect Gi joes British cousin "Action Man" which i'm sure you will know all about, especially considering the Palitoy company improved Gi Joe not once but twice with the invention of realistic hair and gripping hands or "Kung Fu Grip" as you called it in the states!
Wow, great Nostalgia and inspiration here. I am restarting my collection--lost my first one along with the house to a hurricane in 2004; but life is better now and this video is simply Amazing; it gave me the push I needed to rebuild my collection. Thank you.
unity2012 - man how did you lose your collection to a Hurricane? Was it Andrew and in Florida? Can’t imagine that. Reminds me of the Corvette museum where all those mint corvettes got swallowed up by a sink hole. Sorry to hear that.
Nice collection. I had a lot of that back in the day, the jeep, the air force set with survival raft and so on. We made a parachute and one of my Joes "jumped" off a 100 ft high bridge.
I thought i wrote to you before appears not!! However I've watching your video's I'ts great to go back, to 1964-65 when this liitle guy came along, I have been a Action man follower since he came out in the U.K. My first one was a pilot in 1965 since then I've been collecting them off and on since then. You have a fantastic collection which is a pleasure to view. Thanks a limey friend tanpatch88
I was born in that time (1958) and remember when the Joes came out and I got lot's of them. The problem was I played with them and a lot got broken, or lost, so not much stayed in good condition. So the Joes I bought later as an adult were better. But I did get to experience having brand new Joes and sets in the original boxes before I ruined them as a kid.
Love your videos man they are awesome..... I'm new in collecting Gi Joes.. well i only have one its a 12 inch Soldiers of the world "tunnel Rat" not opened! when i was a kid i would play with my uncles Gi Joes I'm trying to see if he has them ! lol
They all have there own price depending on what issue it was in wat condition etc. but probaly each person you find to get a value will all say something different to me my joes are priceless :3
Have you seen the reproductions they've done? I haven't seen my old G.I. Joe since I last lived at home 20 years ago and I bought a repro A.A. adventure team figure for my boy out of nostalgia. What a disappointment! (Nice collection)
@ 510brody, Goldenrod/yellow jumpsuits, if they have the orange around the zipper, with or without side tabs, in great condition go for $200s and up. Condition is everything.
You have a great collection but I refuse to watch this anymore because you 're bringing back a lot fond childhood memories and bringing ot a lot jealously! jk lol Nice job!
Is it possible to get a complete SOTW German uniform & equipment? I have a GI JOE.I got a 1964 one from my son for Christmas, but he has a older German uniform that's torn and not complete. The Helmet is Broken and he's wearing the wrong boots.
Sorry, that's incorrect. I'm only talking about vintage GI Joe's 1964 to 1978. The rubber boots were only made in 1964 only. Hasbro starting making plastic boots 1965 to the end of this collections time frame.
@ 510brody That's what I said when I first started collecting. lol... The best quick guide is the James Desimone THE NEW OFFICAL IDENTIFICATION GUIDE 64 TO 78 I did see this on eBay for around $10.00... The best information books are GI JOE OFFICIAL IDENTIFICATION AND PRICE GUIDE by VINCENT SANTELMO. The best photos with some good info is THE COLLECTIBLE GI JOE by Derryl Depriest.
Good day sir I just wanted to ask someone who is knowledgeable about vintage gi joe I am trying to complete my gi joe rescue raft set and I notice that in the instructions manual it has a black version of the two piece oar does that really exist?
Condition is most everything,I can give you the value, send some photos to inspector6262@columbus.rr.com or you can match what you have to whats selling on eBay, add it to your watch list and check back for what it sold for. This will give you an idea of the price range, it also depends a little on the demand of collectors for that month. Most the good price books are dated now with some Joe items are going for more while some are holding others for less. If you can find a later addition get one
I have FIVE G I Joes from the early 70s. All are in good condition, one is missing a foot. I also have several accessories, extra uniforms, rifles, pistols, boots, helmets, hats etc. Can someone tell me what the whole lot may be worth. They are not in boxes. Thanks.

Interested in selling your old Joes? Just email me @ inspector6262@gmail.com
What makes me so sad is that i will never be able to walk in a store and buy a gi joe with scuba gear or anything. Joes and toys now just SUCK butt.
I said plastic boots were made up to 1978 that should be 1976.
