You have not only inspired me to accept my balding, but you have inspired me to start my very own YT channel centered around dealing with hair loss. Thank you for all you've done Harry. You have played a pivotal role in my personal growth/development!
Keep going king 🙏
There are so many products but I always find myself going back to a shaving razor.
Exactly my predicament. Every road leads back to a safety razor
@@Miimzavell Indeed! Which safety razor are you using for your head shave?
@@cod4787Добрый день! Я для бритья головы пользуюсь станком Merkur 37C и Gillette King C. на лезвиях Asta superior platinum.
@@cod4787 I am using the King of aggressive razors the Muhle R41, and I also have the Rockwell 6C which I use from time to time, but my go to is R41, give me very close shave without redoing. And you?
Same here
Dude , if you only knew for how long I've waited for you to review this XD. Great video, keep it up and thanks for the honest review!💪👏
Glad I could help! And glad you enjoyed it 👍
As a professional barber and for an around £80 it’s a really good buy and solid! I have the mirror gold one, they do 3 types of foil shaver now.
Also it runs at around 10,000RPM which is why it’s a little loud. It’s a great shaver that when you need to bald out on a busy Saturday it does it well.
Love these reviews; I have been thinking about trying a foil shaver so this might be the one
If you are in the market for one then this is for sure the one to try I’d say.
Relatively new to the bald crew, and loving it. This video has sealed the deal for me, I'll be getting this instead of using razors, just for convenience. And I'll sub too... Nice in depth first look 👌🏼 thanks man!
Love the videos mate, been following the channel for a while now. Keep up the good work, from a fellow bald brother 💪
Looks cool, reminds me of the Andis which I tried and, while close as you can get with an electric, irritated my head sadly.
Splashed out on a Braun Series 9 Pro (and Amazon sent me the Pro + lol) after watching your video on it and that's the perfect balance of closeness and comfort, for me.
I’ve had this one for travel and it great. Although airport security always pulls my carry on thinking it’s a weapon haha
Looooved the bloopers :D
And thanks for the review, always an informative video and very much looking forward to the next one
Maybe you can do a tier list of all the razers you collected over the years?
(As an idea for a future video)
Cheers mate!
Great idea for a future video! 👍 thank you
@@Baldcafe Добрый день! Так-же было бы не плохо сделать обзор на ваш "топ" безопасных бритв для бритья головы.👍
You can get grip bands for this shaver, It will help grip the the shaver. The metallic design will attract a lot of fingerprints and can be slippery.
If you have curly hair, flat laying or strands of long hair, most foils without a middle cutter will not get to these hairs. This one does not come with a back trimmer, and the replacement parts can be expensive. But all in all, this is a tremendous box shaver.
I recommend doing your research into what shaver is best suited for you, there are a lot of Fantastic choices on the market.
Using this for about a year.. unreal and like for like with an open razor shave.
Can't get as close as a blade. Don't see how it could.
Good review mate , I’ve been looking for a decent foil shaver for a while cheers
Glad I could help
I bought the same one but returned it for the BabylissPRO 4Artists FX3. The FX3 does not have the same metal premium finish but has a better battery and much lighter.
Maybe I just need more practice and need to learn proper technique but I found it alot more work than using a razor.
I have this one for 2 years now, love it! the only disadvantage of this shaver is that when the head needs to be replaced, it releases a little foil and makes a big wound in your scalp😅
I use the FX3 model and its razor close, just stretch your skin and go against the grain in short strokes...it just erases the stubble away. Ive had mine for 18mo and still using stock blades, i have coarse thick hair and i use it every 2 to 3 days.
Super interesting,I'm gonna look into buying one, tried many others n always poor. This seems like it maybe the real deal.thanks 😎
Amazing ❤ video ❤
Glad you liked it!!
Great review @baldcafe, do you know if this thing is suitable for a wet shave as well? I'd love to use this thing with a bit of cream or gel.
This is the one my barber always uses and its insane. I always was like nah this isn't the 'best' one he's just trying to sell me on it. TBH i still don't know bc i haven't bought one yet of any kind but this review is def like what he says. Says it's top notch.
I have this a few months now, haven't watched this video yet, here are my thoughts.
Ive been shaving my head with foil shavers a few years now, had a few different types from different brands - this one is on a complety different level. Dont bother with the rest, get this one.
Battery lasts over a month (i use it for 5 min every day.
The foils have yet to break, other brands seem to break within a couple of weeks.
Looks and feels better than the rest.
Cuts closer and easier than the rest.
East buy
Thanks for sharing man. I really slept on this one. It is miles ahead of the And is. I used it again today with only 2 days growth and the shave was much easier. Hope you enjoy my review.
Does it leaving ingrown hair and bums? For mixed african hair type?
I got it as a replacement for my broken Braun Series 9 and I can’t recommend it to anyone with sensitive skin/thick hair. Just like you said, it doesn’t glide and because of that it’s causing a lot of irritation. Also the foil cracked after a week of normal, home use (during the head shave) cutting my scalp pretty severely. I don’t think that this is a bad product, just not suitable for shaving head, especially if you have sensitive skin. I’ve tried using it with the electric pre-shave lubricant and unfortunately, even though helps the foil to glide easier, it clogs it up very quickly. Braun Series 9 is still the king of the head shavers for guys with sensitive skin.
Good stuff! Do you think this gets considerably closer shave than the Skull Shaver Pitbull? If so, I'll probably snag one up!
After using the Andis Profoil for years I bit the bullet and bought the Braun Series 9 last week and it's a monster. Went through 5 days growth no problem. I just wish I'd picked it up sooner.
Yeah it’s much better than the Andis
Yeah series 9 is one of my go to’s in rotation with my skull shaver and leaf twig!
You guys use the braun 9 for your head or just the face?
@@Curt__ It's incredible on the head. I can only imagine it's also very good on the face. I haven't shaved my face in over 20 years so I couldn't comment.
@@Curt__ same here I just shave my head the face only gets a trim 😀
@Baldcafe - you reviewed alot of shavers, and probably used many - what would you recommend ultimately - for shaving head only ? i want the smoothest possible, but want something electric to be able to shave before going to job, wet shaving is too much hassle for me
I’ve got the Remington skull shaver style foil shaver. How does this compare? What would you now say is the best overall head shaver (foil)?
the blades do eat through the foil and you can't predict when that happens but when it does it really puts the cuts in your head and that can be tiresome, i used the babyliss for a couple of months and I went back to the Leaf razor
I just wana get a leaf twig. Still using disposables.
Someday.
Wahl balding clippers are the best of the best for me
Don't suppose there's any chance of covering male scalp folliculitis is there? I like to shave my head using Remington RX5 or the babyliss pro but suffer with folliculitis. Not only is it painful and bothersome, but knocks my confidence
Top! 👏🏽
🤙
Got to get me one
Hey Harry I have this but it was causing me irritation. I've bought the braun series 9 pro and it's much better but a lot more expensive. Great review though mate nice one 👍
Yeah Braun 9 glides better meaning less irritation for sure 👍
I still love my series 9
more so because I can also wet-shave with it
And its really comfortable
Upon looking at it it looks no
Different than the fx -2 shaver at which is still a great shaver in my opinion 😊
Fx3 ok but I still prefer the power of either the fx2 or fx1 or even the rebel shaver 😊
I always use my RX5 in the shower for a closer shave.
I'm not a head shaver, but wonder if this would be best only if you do daily shaves. Personally (for several days growth), I'd first use a cheap, convenient alternate that's not completely efficient, but very comfortable (to take down the bulk of the growth), then end the shave with the Babyliss Pro, as this is the strength of the razor. Another review said: 'You should use clippers or trimmers first and then this'. I'd think if you subject the Babyliss Pro to multi-day growth some component isn't going to last as long as with one-day growth. It might take longer, but I would guess - on both passes - it will be much more comfortable.
Yes, using it on multiple days growth isn’t ideal with this thing I don’t think
Nice
Thanks
Hi mate if you’ve got a weeks growth, what would you use before this? Thanks
Any 0 guard clippers or mini clippers 👌
Great review 👏 thanks for taking care of business o'Canada
Any time!
the bloopers at the end 😂😅
Up the baldies 👴🏻💪🏻
I always wanted to buy this but the price is what made me not pull the trigger ended up buying the andis shaver for about half the price got it on sale for 55 bucks no regrets maybe when this one gives out I’ll consider buying it
Does anyone knows if this and the UVFOIL02 are the same, regarding to the shaving part?
Looks ok 👌 but I still prefer the power of the fx 2
I used this thing and yea it does shave you smooth but lord Jesus...the razor bumps were serious!!!
Harry, your facial hair is looking phenomenal mate. Seems even thicker here than when it’s long. Also, love the stache! Great review.
Thanks so much!
2 questions.
how does this compare to a rotary shaver , for example the skull shaver. in terms of closeness and irritation
there is a brand called hatteker, is that any good.
thanks
That hatteker is generic so will give generic results. This compared to rotary shavers like skull shaver and RX7 shaves closer but it isn’t as comfortable to use.
i have andis shaver its very nice and very close to shave and happy with it ❤ but i think babyliss a powerful then andis
Im really trying so hard to like myself with hair like this. I am only 22, no girl my age is gonna want a to be with a bald guy. Infact my last girl specifically said she wouldn’t have dated me if I was bald. I guess I should be happy with myself regardless of something as superficial as hear but I just can’t have the amount of positivity these guys eventually have about it. Guess I’ll have to watch more of your videos until I’m okay with it haha
You are young bro. It takes time, it takes life experience, it takes reflection. It takes you starting to think about things you actually like about yourself more than spending time wishing for other circumstances or washing to be back in the past. If you are struggling to think of things you like about yourself then do hard things, achieve things outside of your current comfort zone. If your criteria is getting laid with a shaved head then just focus on achieving that. It isn’t un achievable because the bald gene lives on strong for a reason. You just gotta see it all with your own eyes and that does take time, experience and the accumulation of wins. The alternative is to give up and live in misery. F that. Don’t squander your potential to achieve and do great things just because you no longer have the full head of hair you once did. At the end of the day you’ve just changed your hair cut. That sounds blunt but it’s the truth.
Still doing a code for the leaf twig razor? Also what razor do you recommend I can get from the supermarket that’s better than gilette mach 3, you said in a video you end up going back to something like gilette fusion but I can't remember what video or what razor it was.
I do have a code if purchasing from the US but not the UK. A good overall razor is the Gilette fusion proglide. I don’t like changing the shave head so much which is why I very rarely use those these days but in terms of performance… absolutely does a great shave
@@Baldcafe Cheers bud got the proglide until the leaf comes
Have you ever heard of the leaf competitor the "Shavent" razor
No, I’ll take a look
You use one? It looks heavy and bulky
Ive been shaving my head for 3 years now, and have always been sceptical of electric. In the very early days i bought a remington rx5 but had the worst razor burn ever, plus, im fussy my skin has to be as smooth as glass😀😀
This one might be a bit too irritating for you
@@Baldcafe so it's definitely not for sensitive skin. Thanks I'm not tempted anymore 😂
Tried it and didn’t like it. It’s a bit of a rough cut due to it being so close. I’m an Arc5 fan
Great review! Does anyone have the US Amazon product link?
Had a look around. from what I see this one looks for be the one for the US market - www.amazon.com/BaBylissPRO-Foilfx02-Cordless-Metal-Gold/dp/B07SZG537S/ref=sr_1_3?crid=118X702VOVK5E&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.hBdxEiLcLQ7AU517D_-jrwE7egDpgsf8rTpQxV_ipTi7jj0RdyVq9qQZrjbB6gXmKa_qGQGvWUnv-883IrGtfkRShwAuPipy0WIKQMSc-kURs1DOFyKdVJlzEGGEy2VF_Yqa-4nOP2dL-SN9ev07ZB4kh_trvXbf58A82fdX2YYkweXF8-u22ZAnk9WH7xWX7489eYzp4QxLH0_xypjmM4dQkL34G0NVOXUMIpaaT3NKRtj0k-Vv5cW0rtlEDBIviZo0YxCMB1mis9M0sgECKXsFSclmOjpuLHKvMDZp5cA.v5y4jqFp8U62mPGEZ1QzVP0MGDxZdhFo4_vD6sm7siE&dib_tag=se&keywords=babyliss%2Bpro%2Btitanium%2Bfoil%2Bshaver&qid=1715539135&sprefix=babyliss%2Bpro%2Btitanium%2Bfoil%2Bshaver%2Caps%2C382&sr=8-3&th=1
@@Baldcafe thank you!!
@@LandPirate62 Searching for B07SZG537S is an alternative, though his razor is the BABFS2U model, which isn't available in the US. I think the closest option is the Babyliss UVFOIL double foil shaver (model FXLFS2MB) which comes with Blue Titanium Foil -- and the FXLFS2 model with a Black Titanium Foil. There's also a single foil version. All are expensive, since they all include a UV disinfecting lid feature. You might want to correspond with Babyliss and ask about the availability of the BABFS2U in the US -- or the closest alternative including a titanium foil (if that's important to you) -- before making a purchase.
Is this just a fancier version of the Wahl Professional 5-Star Series Rechargeable Shaver/Shaper #8061-100

my issue with shaving is, when i do shave my head (soon) i do NOT want the buzz cut, straight to clean all round, however im dreading the shadow or horseshoe, would rather have no hair on the sides to match the top than have the divide obvious
Don’t dread the shadow man. Get comfortable with it and life will be much easier
@@Baldcafe that's the thing, I'm 24 and have been balding since I was 15, it got to the point where there was genuinely nothing on the very front/top and I actually felt better about it than when I was just thinning and having that M shape becoming more and more aggressive. I think I'm finally sick of brushing it forward and hat + bang catfishing. When I'm better from tonsillitis I'll probably just go for the clean shave after 9 years of self hate and stress
Baybliss Pro left my head torn up 2 years ago. Never used it again since. I don’t think it’s intended for sensitive skin folks
TPOB shaver X????
Foil shavers are the greatest value for the price. Braun series 9 is excellent but expensive.
You're so handsome Harry
At this point I would just go for laser hair removel treatment unless you planed some hair transplant surgery
Like many guys my age, 63, I’m not totally bald, just very thin on top. I don’t like the way it looks so I shave my head. My wife hates it but tolerates it, lol. The only thing is that I have to walk the slope of getting a bit of color on my head, to knowing when to cover up to avoid sun moles, lol
I must accept that electric razors are not for me but it's hard because it's so convenient.
Отличное видео! Я для бритья головы в основном использую безопасные бритвы. Но для непредвиденных случаев, когда мало времени. Я приобрёл себе обычную роторную бритву Phillips 3000 серии. Справляется со своей задачей на отлично!
Excelente 👌 all about finding the best products that work well for you
I just use myLEAF razor....best head shave
Closer than the Phillips OneBlade?...
Yes, just
This is what my barber uses on me. Super smooth afterwards.
I have this and like you it's great.for the top of my head and the sides but the back is a joke it's takes ages to do and I find going back to my razor to finish my head
These electric head shavers are a waste of money.
It doesn't appear to be available (Titanium) in the USA. Have another cup of Java!
I think this is the US equivalent www.amazon.com/BaBylissPRO-Foilfx02-Cordless-Metal-Gold/dp/B07SZG537S/ref=sr_1_3?crid=118X702VOVK5E&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.hBdxEiLcLQ7AU517D_-jrwE7egDpgsf8rTpQxV_ipTi7jj0RdyVq9qQZrjbB6gXmKa_qGQGvWUnv-883IrGtfkRShwAuPipy0WIKQMSc-kURs1DOFyKdVJlzEGGEy2VF_Yqa-4nOP2dL-SN9ev07ZB4kh_trvXbf58A82fdX2YYkweXF8-u22ZAnk9WH7xWX7489eYzp4QxLH0_xypjmM4dQkL34G0NVOXUMIpaaT3NKRtj0k-Vv5cW0rtlEDBIviZo0YxCMB1mis9M0sgECKXsFSclmOjpuLHKvMDZp5cA.v5y4jqFp8U62mPGEZ1QzVP0MGDxZdhFo4_vD6sm7siE&dib_tag=se&keywords=babyliss%2Bpro%2Btitanium%2Bfoil%2Bshaver&qid=1715539135&sprefix=babyliss%2Bpro%2Btitanium%2Bfoil%2Bshaver%2Caps%2C382&sr=8-3&th=1
Remington rx7 or this?
What is your priority? If it’s closeness then this. If it’s comfort then RX7
@@Baldcafe this shaves more than the rx7?
I always get irritation with foil shavers, not sure why but really annoying as I’d love to use them
I used to also, I’m not sure if my technique got better or my skin adapted but I don’t get it bad really anymore.
It's not struggling, if you cut your hair down first with clippers!
Hair was 3 days that about what you get after using clippers.
@@Baldcafe I know I understand peoples hair grows at different rates. But that hair looks longer than 3 days, usually the clippers get it down to 0.5 mm, to me it looks longer than 0.5mm.
Hey Im bald too and I would like to shave my beard and have a mustache! What do you think? Do women like this?
Women like secure men. Whatever look makes you secure in yourself is the look to go with bro.
Agree with Baldcafe here.
Re: the look itself. Harry looks great, he is a good looking guy and can pull off pretty much any look with aplomb, this look is no exception. If you like the idea of it, go for it - if it makes you feel good, keep it. If you don't like it, shave it.
Women like different things. Some like men with full hair and no beard. Some like men with bald heads and a giant beard. Do what feels right for you and the right woman will follow. What type of stache are you thinking of?
Дружище, делай то, что нравится тебе! Что нравится женщинам, так это уверенные в себе мужчины!
razor bumps 😭😭😭😭😭
Sounds like a ad. Never compare it side to side with the braun. The little video we saw it was having trouble. And he talks about how it looks more then how it compares.
Literally couldn’t have given a more honest description of my experience, a balance of pros and cons and you can literally see in the Amazon screen shots when I bout the thing 😂
1) you shave wet and with foam/cream and using an electric shaver like the remington etc
2) you put some shaving oil on your head and use a foil shaver to touch up the side parts especially around the ears
The combinations makes it perfect. Alone both are flawed
This one must be used in the dry. It’s not intended for wet use
sell it with earplugs
You seriously used a foil on 3 days of growth?
Yes
These type of foils need the hair to be very short already, try something like a brain series 9
Remington Balder Pro much much better and closer.
It’s not closer than this. The RX7 is the balder pro. Balder pro does get there more comfortably as I mentioned in the video.
No more "power donut"? I actually liked that look.
Foil shavers are for STUBBLE
not HAIR
Can you explain the difference
