Lia was never a bad dancer. It's the hate that's affecting her. Ya'll go back to itzy dance practices since dalla dalla. You'll see how good of a dancer she really is. Unfortunately, she's gradually losing her confidence because of other people. Imagine yourself in her shoes. Even though you're good, when people tell you are not. You'll somehow come to a point where you doubt yourself and think whether what they're saying is actually true. It hurts to watch how in dalla dalla, icy, etc. she was full of confidence even in recent comebacks she's really doing great. She's overcoming her doubts but the scar of what people label her *bad/lazy dancer* is still there and it's hard to get over it.

Lia is my bias! Her voice is unique, powerful, and sultry. Her low to mid range is amazing & something not a lot of kpop artists have. Itzy’s choreos are purposefully some of the hardest in kpop bc that’s become their thing somehow. For the girl with the least amount of dance training, I think she is phenomenal. I saw Itzy live a few months ago and I was surprised to hear Lia being the loudest while singing and dancing. That’s a main singer for ya. Keep fighting!

I love Lia's style of dancing, she's gentle and soft which balances so nicely with the other girls in Itzy. It's so sad that there's so much hate towards her. You can see she genuinely loves music and performing. She's got a heart of gold and she deserves better than these criticisms
this situation for me as someone who has danced for many years of my life and still have a deep love of it.... mirrors many situations I and I know plenty of people have danced with have been put in.. I feel like people don't understand how words can affect someones performance in anything... I mean mostly people who have like depression and don't do well in school happen to become like that because of malicious comments they get same goes for performers.. I analyzed the same when Giselle was heavily criticized during girls era because... from my own personal experience if you don't have any sort of confidence in yourself your performance will be affected wether you like it or not... like if you feel like you are just a burden on the stage which I feel like situations like this have to do with... it makes you like wanna appear as small as possible which leads to you making mistakes.... and hate comments only make it worst... what we should do here is telling them that it's okay to not be perfect and give them criticism on what to change without being a massive piece of shit.... and always tell them what they do right cause... trust me... only telling the bad things someone does won't help them improve cause it will just feel like a wormhole that never ends of not feeling like you are good enough.... To me Lia is a really great dancer, she has quite good control something MANY dancers struggle with.... and even though she can appear like she looks weak when dancing considering she had some condition that makes her body weaker seeing her still be able to keep up shows how she still has a good sense of what her body can handle... What I personally feel like she could improve on it putting a bit more energy if well her body can handle it... but otherwise getting a bit more detailed with her movements and not rushing through certain moves cause that is something... many people do so it's like she ain't alone in that.... also with her anxiety I hope she feels better for it soon cause I have struggled with anxiety... specifically social anxiety but anxiety in general and it sucks.... and also can greatly affect performance... it's like skill isn't the only thing that affects how you do in a performance.... and it doesn't have to be cause someone is lazy... there definitely are dancers that are lazy won't mention names but.... Lia I wouldn't say is one of them... she just struggles and to me that is perfectly fine we shouldn't set people up as much as we do...
Yess, people don’t realise performing is not just about skill but mentality too. No one can perform well without confidence! Calling idols useless or a dozen doesn’t help them in any way, it’s just mean.

Lia was notably the least best dancer in ITZY, but that doesn't make her a bad dancer. Korean's societal pressures on being perfect can definitely take a mental toll on everyone, not just kpop idols. What made Lia so special, was that despite the constant criticisms since debut, she kept going and continuing to do her best. We miss her and hope she can come back soon in a better health state.

Lia has alot of hate for her dancing and it is her hate thats affecting her now. She dances really well if you go to dance practices and other videos of her dancing. She also has anemia which makes it hard for her to dance. I am glad she is taking a break and going on hiatus i hope she returns well and healthy. Fighting Lia!❤

@@Madelope that's not the same thing... A person's voice/singing has a lot (and I mean a looooooot) more physiological limitations than "dancing skills". That being said, I don't think she was a bad dancer at all. I think she was affected negatively by something (but neither me nor anyone else can be certain of what it is. She is the only one who knows.).

Lia has a really beautiful voice she always biases wreck me a couple times and I love her voice don’t hate on her, she always tries her best and I loves her personality with the members even if she makes one wrong mistake with her movements a lot hater will just going to be so toxic about it …just think about yourself will you be able to do any those movements that any K-pop stars you like or know can do 🤔

Lia has always been a fairly decent dancer, as you can see in Dalla Dalla. That's why she made it into Itzy. And she has also improved so much, as seen in Cake Practice video. She just always struggled in keeping up with others in live performances while also doing well in vocals. Chae, Yeji, Yuna and Ryujin have always been powerful dancers with insane stage presence. I think we are too harsh on Lia, especially considering how she had the shortest training time before debut. Plus, she debuted as a vocalist and not a dancer.

What's the need of including this "ITZY’s Lia, who faced controversies over her dance skills" on the description? As a dancer myself Lia is doing f* fine. I don't want to use the phrase 'because her member is a strong dancers' yes, they are, but no Lia is in sync with her members despite of ITZY having the hardest choreo among all the kpop girl group. Despite her having an anemia, she can dance well along with the 2 main amazing dancer in their generation. Lia dances gracefully and elegantly, she's nailing and slaying every itzy choreo plus being the only Main Vocalist too. Her focus is singing but people nitpicking her where there are a lot of idols who can't obviously dance. She is a singer and takes care of the vocals of the group why people are so harsh at her? That's one of the reason why shes on hiatus now. Since predebut shes already nailing and slaying, look at their Dalla Dalla and Want It? dance practice there you can see it. But after ICY people hating on her for no reason at all that's her where her confidence gone down up until now. Don't expect Lia to dance as the same as Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong and Yuna as her. Her members are dancers. Lia is a singer. An amazing singer. Thats why it is also satisfying to watch ITZY's dance because there is a soft dancer among them. And it is ITZY All in Us after all. It's really a pity also because Lia is such a sweetheart. If you get to know her, not only her face are beautiful but her heart. She is so pure, cute, well mannered, well educated, smart, genius and very very funny. Her whole personality is so lovable. I guess that's why people are jealous of her.

Dude their whole career revolve around public opinion. It's not pop where the artist is everything, they release music so everyone think it as an art and art is flexible. Giselle was caught backstage, someone shot the video and I'm guessing they were caught and fired for releasing it, after a recent show for their new album in 2023 (which I actually do like two songs on it and I don't think its as bad as some say it is) and it just showed her crying just backstage and hugging Karina and Ningning.
Some say it was because of the boos that came her way during one part of her slip-up on the stage, others think it was a combination of the hate and bullying she received.
These companies might be good at making music, but they are absolutely horrible at keeping their talent safe from these types of bullies. These bullies who just hide behind screens and who apparently have no lives outside of trying to make their least favorites cry.

This idol life is just not for her, maybe she’s realized that. In the beginning she thought she could do it but clearly she can’t keep up with the group so she shouldn’t hold them back. It would be stupid not to get support from the management specially they are the ones bringing in cash. The fact that she is on hiatus and letting her rest is the management's way of giving support. Also performing at high standards is normal considering it's the job they do. She is an amazing performer. It's people who post online hate that takes a toll on their mental health.

Coreia do Sul é um país de gente horrível, cujo esporte nacional é destruir reputações de celebridades! Lia tem uma voz única, extremamente necessária para fazer um contraponto às vozes mais "finas" das outras integrantes. Chaeryeong também é assim.
She’s not a bad dancer, however making several mistakes and being lost is underperforming on what is essentially her job. Not sure how many people here actually have a job, but you need to compare it to that. If you’re not doing what your job description states you will get more training, be reprimanded or put on a PIP. I hope she’s feeling better and returns soon
