Le Chalet - Intro - Progression

- I was recently watching the French TV series "Le Chalet".
What caught my attention very much is the intro to the episodes, which progresses over time, just as the plot of the series is progressing. I bet many people didn't realise or even see this little, but ingenious detail, but it definitely deserves much more attention - and if you ask me it also deserves one or more awards. Not only for the beautiful and haunting song, but also for the visual aspect.
"Le Chalet" is a French mini series, consisting of 6 episodes. As far as I know there are three different intros to these episodes, one for episodes 1 and 2, one for episodes 3 and 4, and one for the final two episodes 5 and 6.
The intro progresses over time and adapts to the plot. As more and more people are being killed and/or missed, the intro gets more and more gory without being extreme.
This progression not only shows in the visual aspect, but also in the tiny little progression of the lyrics of the song, which slightly change for the last two episodes.
The song you hear is called "Comptez jusqu'à trois" and was written and performed by Samuel Hercule and (his little daughter?) Léonore Hercule (on vocals).

The lyrics for the song used for episodes 1 - 4 are:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Comptez jusqu'à trois, messieurs, mesdames
Et l'un de vous disparaîtra
Jamais on ne le reverra
Entrez dans la ronde, méfiez vous du monde
Cachez vous vite avant qu'il n'attaque
Un, deux, trois
N'attaque... Un, deux, trois
Comptez jusqu'à trois
Messieurs, mesdames
Un, deux...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
English translation of the lyrics used for the intro for episodes 1 - 4:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Count to three, gentlemen, ladies
And one of you will disappear
We will never see him again
Enter the round, beware of the world
Hide quickly before he attacks
One two Three
Don't attack... One, two, three
Count to three
Gentlemen, Ladies
One. Two...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The lyrics for the song used for episodes 5 & 6 are:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Comptez jusqu'à trois, messieurs, mesdames
Et l'un de vous disparaîtra
Jamais on ne le reverra
Entrez dans la ronde, méfiez vous du monde
Cachez vous vite avant le massacre
Un, deux, trois
Massacre... Un, deux, trois
Comptez jusqu'à trois
Messieurs, mesdames
Un, deux...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
English translation of the lyrics used for the intro for episodes 5 & 6:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Count to three, gentlemen, ladies
And one of you will disappear
We will never see him again
Enter the round, beware of the world
Hide quickly before the massacre
One two Three
Massacre... One, two, three
Count to three
Gentlemen, Ladies
One. Two...

Nunca que eu reparei nisto… muda abertura e muda até uma fala da música.
My God, yes! I think the only reason I notices this detail in the series when I watched it was simply because I enjoyed the song so I didn't skip it. When I had the "wait a minute...Holy Sh*t." moment I loved it even more! Thanks for putting them all together :)
You're so right. Same thing happened to me. I don't know how many times I've watched it already. It's just so beautifully haunting. :)
Thanks for your efforts. I've been hoping someone would offer this info.
Good job!
Too bad they don’t have full version of this song
What do you mean? Do you know a longer or "full" version of this song? Is it some kind of older French song they interpreted? There is a soundtack to the series available, "Le Chalet (Bande Originale de la Série)", and "Comptez jusqu'à trois" is the first song on it, but there it's only 0:57 minutes long.
