My birthday is June 12th 1956. Some time ago a work colleague was doing some work in an empty property and found an old local paper from 1956, when he told me about it, I said, I don’t suppose it’s June the 12th is it? You wouldn’t believe it, but it was!!!
Dan/Mazzie, My mum and dad bought a house for £2700 in the mid 1960's. My grandma said to Dad why are you being so flash paying that much. You could buy a house for about £300.00.
My Amazon delivery guy rings the bell and dumps the parcel on the doorstep. By the time I get to the door he's gone. He doesn't bother to wait to find out if I'm in and it doesn't matter if it's rain or snow. I can't catch him to give him a rollicking. I then get a message to tell me 'your parcel has been left in your safe place'. Safe place? On the doorstep in in the rain! Err no.
I live in Keighley. It was so interesting to see what was in the Keighley news. The houses up long lee do not look like those pictures, but my dad always says Barratt homes threw the houses up and the foundations are rubbish. He says he wouldn't want to own one seeing how they were built. I always wondered what Bob cryer looked like, I have only met his wife Ann cryer when she took over been a councillor in his place. Always lovely to watch you guys.
I remember 1972 quite well, was able to use a fountain pen at school as my handwriting was of a suitable standard, we still had inkwells on our desks to draw up the ink & blotting paper. In 1973 October went to school with Sir Keir Starmer until the following July 😂 Also remember the Americans bombing Hanoi in North Vietnam on the news.

I was getting homesick so we sold our house in 1988 for £24.500 & moved back to South Wales. So maz I think that car was very dear at the time .loved your vlog with the old newspapers my eldest daughter was born in Feb 1974 . So it was lovely looking back on prices in them days . & Dan it was so funny watching you having your hair cut 😂 but mazzy done a brilliant job. & it suits you Dan. Hi Dan. The delaminated is actually where the foam between the top and bottom boards off the floor gets squashed and then comes loose giving a soft floor.There are two basic styles off floor repair systems. One is where you drill holes NOT all the way through and you glue wooden dowels in. I recommend not to use this system as the floor normally breaks free and the you get a bad squeak as the floor runs on the little dowels every time you step on it,The better one is where you drill multiple holes in a grid pattern in the delaminated area and inject an expanding resin. 👍 Dave and Lyn
We had a delivery driver mark our addresses as non existant whike parked in our driveway. I was waitingnfor him to get out and deliver the package but he just drove off

Great video again. Wasn’t winding you up about ironing your laminate flooring…..just not steam as that will cause it to lift even more. Maybe heat will melt glue and restick flooring….just a suggestion, we haven’t tried it🙀🥰. Worth a try. Thanks for vlog.xx😻
This does work on relamonating the floor , take a tea towel place over floor and use iron as normal with steam and this will reactivate the glue , start from of floor working to the edge to stop air bubbles forming x
Dan I don't think we get the same amazon delivery guy all the time there is one that waits normally they just knock on the door and leave the parcel last year it was really windy and the parcels had blown away luckily they got caught in the hedge it's shocking,hope you have your parcels now.😊

Amazon delivery drivers lie about deliveries, I recently had an Amazon delivery, when I checked the tracking for the latest update, the delivery driver said on the delivery note, "package handed to resident" No it wasn't, we were in, the lights were on (late afternoon) and the curtains were not drawn, it was obvious we were there. What he'd done was left it on the doorstep out in the rain, fortunately it wasn't there too long, but it'd been there just long enough for the Amazon cardboard envelope thing to get wet and start to fall apart, but not long enough for the contents to get wet. I was sitting in a chair no more than 8 feet from the door, if he'd bothered to knock I would definitely have heard it. Thats all he had to do, drop, KNOCK and go, at least I'd have picked it up before it got wet, I recon another 15 minutes and I would have been too late. If I hadn't checked when I did it would have been completely saturated..
Amazon do this to us they leave parcels behind our wheelie bin without knocking on our door then they say handed to residents which is wrong the drivers should be honest

Love the old newspapers. I've been working on my 1917 built house . They used to use newspapers to insulate the walls .I ordered old papers from eBay and papered a wall in 1940s headlines from the paper .I'm a history buff and especially love the 1940s. My grandparents met at a factory building Bombers for the war .
I sympathise Dan, have experienced the same delivery issues. . I erupted on the phone, -- It was not pretty. But I discovered that customer services can retrospectively track the Drivers’ journey and stops. My Driver said I did not respond when he knocked but the tracker showed he drove straight past the house. Another time they left my parcel in my garden storage box instead of my shed. I rang to say please tell them not to do that as the box is not waterproof. The adviser said he would leave an instruction, but then laughingly said the request may not work as we are assuming the Driver can actually read. -- says it ll doesn’t it.

We marinate chicken with plain yoghurt, tandoori seasoning, red food colouring and lemon juice. Heinz do a nice garlic sauce, Turkish style. Dan 😅😅 action trolls are trying to escape they want a haircut like yours. 😅😅Dan don't put to much conditioner on your hair you'll wake up like a greasy chip 😅😅.
I assume the idea behind ironing the laminate floor is it could melt the original glue that will stick it back down as it dries. Does it work? That I don't know.

Laminate...you would need to get an old style iron to do this and a slightly damp towel.
My dad used to do this when laminating edging on wood etc....

The iron is just heating up the glue the towel is so you dint burn or melt the floor. It should make the glue sticky again

yes the iron trick may work... i used to work in a cabinet shop and we would reactivate the glue with irons but no steam lol

But I have to say, theTemu ones are amazing, their sizing is spot on. Sheins come up a little larger, but still nice, and arrive a bit quicker than Temu. Great video again. Wasn’t winding you up about ironing your laminate flooring…..just not steam as that will cause it to lift even more. Maybe heat will melt glue and restick flooring….just a suggestion, we haven’t tried it🙀🥰. Worth a try. Thanks for vlog.xx😻
