There's some info I needed to get out to you guys that I felt wasn't being conveyed in any of the UA-cam videos and reviews I've seen on the retail formats. I pulled four autos, and only only bought three hangers, two mega boxes, and 4 blasters, guess I was lucky. 3 future stars auto and a Patrick Williams numbered to 25. Not great but better than what I ever pulled out of retail Panini 😂
I got some Topps Composite Football Megas coming, the cards look better with the jerseys not all photoshopped. Just missing the helmet logos. The basketball is HIDEOUS except when their backs are turned and they are looking back.
Better off to just buy one. I have a feeling there was a pretty healthy amount of his autos in here. The price will come way down in a month. Don't hold me to that tho. Wemby Mania can be irrational 🤣
Yup the odds sheet was very revealing about retail. The only numbered cards you can pull are the future stars basketball autos and the superfractors which is of course damn near impossible. I also realized that the superfractor chase auto and Lebron chase cards are not possible to pull and made sure to emphasize that in case some poor soul is buying these to go after that bounty. I agree it is our job to make sure people know what they’re getting into when buying this stuff and I’m glad there are others like yourself out there that do a good job of this
Love your channel. You're one of the actual few rip and review channels that actually give good information. If I'm being honest, you kind of push me to be a better content creator. Keep up the great work. I think most wax rippers/collectors come to UA-cam for their info. We, as content creators, have some responsibility to pass along as much info and shoot straight. People want to spend their hard earned money, and the need a little more than a cheerleader sometimes.
I reply here, because I highly appreciate both of u , true reviewers that help collectors. I also follow Sage and Big J, also Bob from Europe. But others I watch their rips just to see some cards, otherwise I do not trust them…I saw a rip of these Topps Chroms from Packman who got a numbered Wemby auto card…it was so obvious to me it was arranged…
@@huxbux You as well man love the content. It's amazing how many people go out and blindly buy some of this stuff and part of that is attributed to what they see on UA-cam or other social media. I know I've been a victim of that in the past.
@@dragos80 I can understand how you feel and personally I don't necessarily think these boxes are rigged for these guys, although he would definitely be the guy on youtube to send juiced boxes, simply because of how bad a lot of his other boxes can be. I've been seeing guys like Bob get some hate for his Wemby auto pull and we all know he's not getting sent any type of 'influencer' box. Regardless, I think it's important to review the products objectively without including those types of hits in your evaluation (unless the pull rates are high for whatever reason)

You can pull numbered cards from retail but they are extremely difficult, the odds has it you just have to scroll down a bit. I pulled a future stars signature numbered to 25 from a hanger pack.
Great video thanks! Question while looking at the odds list you had on screen it appears there are 3 different type of blaster/value boxes? So is the blaster I pick up at my local LCS different than the one I'd find at Walmart or Target? Thanks again and GL on your next rip!
They are different but in most instances their the same odds wise. SE is Walmart(MJ Holding), EA is Target(Excel), and DIRECT is straight from Topps/Fanatics. Hope that helped!
@@huxbux Made it all very clear to me thanks! The only real difference I can see is that the odds of pulling a base LeBron James gold auto is cut in half but is still 1:280,560 LOL. It seems like to me that true retail SE and EA will be roughly half the price of the direct from Topps/Fanatics boxes if those are being sold for over $60 and they don't offer anything unique. It seems odd to me. I entered the Fanatics drop for the Hobby boxes but it's doesn't appear that I was selected so I guess I'm going to miss out on those since I'm not paying $600 per. @donnyleonard8576 Lebron is basically a pipe dream, but it's there at least. The $60 is secondary market price on the blaster. When the blasters were available from Topps, they were $30. And yea, under no circumstances should anyone be paying those kind of prices.
Thanks Hux! I went to a GameStop just 5 min up road from my LCS and nabbed 2 blasters for $30 each and a hanger. Also they had 3 composite football hangers that I picked up. So check Game stop out and GL on your next rip!

Has anyone noticed that the base set checklists that are popping up online are incorrect? They all say it is a 190 card base set but the card numbers go passed 190. 6 of the cards I have are cards 193-198. Could they be errors? Anyone with any info let me know.
Really appreciate it for telling the truth. For those tempted to burn $600 on this trash, you could buy autos of the biggest rising stars like Luka and Ant-Man.
Thanks for the review. I haven't been excited about the Fanatics monopoly from day one and it gets worse with time. Panini certainly has major flaws but when there's only one game in town I think they are going to drive a lot of people out of the hobby.
I wish I would have come across this sooner I snagged a retail blaster without realized what isn't available as a collector (mind you the secondary market prices for these balsters is pretty high ). Frankly, the way they go about not making even a fraction of this information acccessable right on the blaster boxes is so disappointing. I have high hopes for Fanatic and their products but if this is how they're going to kick off reintroducing products and making a new run at the hobby, I may need to temper those hopes a lot.
When it comes to companies, I have faith in one thing. That's increasing profits. It's what a publicly traded company is designed to do. I don't mean that in a negative way what so ever. It's fact. So, I never had super high hopes for Fanatics when they won the NBA and NFL licenses. They'll make good products, and do what's necessary to keep the shareholders happy.

I seen a friend open a blaster yesterday and got demolished sadly worst rip I've seen him do yet I told him I'm staying away from topps chrome basketball and went with a select basketball blaster
Other than cards my other expenses go into my basketball season which is in 2 weeks & if I do decide to get cards its normally retail then. Ill wait for your hobby review then decide if I should catch up with one after I'm done with all my expenses to do one last wemby hunt other wise ill wait for next season releases with the new rookies since I have new pcs with this class
Sadly, I got ahead of myself on a hobby box. I don't think I'll be doing a full review on Chrome. I'd say, if in some alternate universe, you could find a hobby box under $300 at preorder prices, go for it. Absolutely, stay away from retail until it's an itch you have to scratch.
@@huxbux retail has been very good to me & at time times have been much better than hobby. I'm more of a collector than a seller I only sell players that I fee that I'm not really interested in especially if they are playing for a team that I'm a not the biggest fans off
They were definitely selling single boxes. My conspiracy brain says they limited both the drops to a very small amount. The rest was allocated to shops and breakers. Blez has broken over or near a 100 cases so far.
You said you can get lebron autos in blasters then immediately after say in blasters and hangars you can't sniff a lebron auto...after the 8 minute mark

If only. Orange basketball Refractor is hanger exclusive, non-numbered and falls 1 in 5 hanger packs. So 1 in 1.5 hangers roughly. Still a good hit.

Actually, Composite retail has just about everything hobby has. It's night and day compared to Chrome.

Thanks for the review. I haven't been excited about the Fanatics monopoly from day one and it gets worse with time. Panini certainly has major flaws but when there's only one game in town I think they are going to drive a lot of people out of the hobby.
Competition is good for the hobby. I was never on the "Fanatics will save us" train.

I wish I would have come across this sooner I snagged a retail blaster without realized what isn't available as a collector (mind you the secondary market prices for these balsters is pretty high ). Frankly, the way they go about not making even a fraction of this information acccessable right on the blaster boxes is so disappointing. I have high hopes for Fanatic and their products but if this is how they're going to kick off reintroducing products and making a new run at the hobby, I may need to temper those hopes a lot.
When it comes to companies, I have faith in one thing. That's increasing profits. It's what a publicly traded company is designed to do. I don't mean that in a negative way what so ever. It's fact. So, I never had super high hopes for Fanatics when they won the NBA and NFL licenses. They'll make good products, and do what's necessary to keep the shareholders happy.

I guess as someone who left the hobby because the higher quality cards seem so far out of reach back in the day only to come back now and realize that they're even more out of reach I was hoping that Fanatics might be on the side of the average hobbiest a little more. But alas it seems to be wishful thinking. lol
I seen a friend open a blaster yesterday and got demolished sadly worst rip I've seen him do yet I told him I'm staying away from topps chrome basketball and went with a select basketball blaster

Other than cards my other expenses go into my basketball season which is in 2 weeks & if I do decide to get cards its normally retail then. Ill wait for your hobby review then decide if I should catch up with one after I'm done with all my expenses to do one last wemby hunt other wise ill wait for next season releases with the new rookies since I have new pcs with this class
Sadly, I got ahead of myself on a hobby box. I don't think I'll be doing a full review on Chrome. I'd say, if in some alternate universe, you could find a hobby box under $300 at preorder prices, go for it. Absolutely, stay away from retail until it's an itch you have to scratch.
@@huxbux retail has been very good to me & at time times have been much better than hobby. I'm more of a collector than a seller I only sell players that I fee that I'm not really interested in especially if they are playing for a team that I'm a not the biggest fans off

They were definitely selling single boxes. My conspiracy brain says they limited both the drops to a very small amount. The rest was allocated to shops and breakers. Blez has broken over or near a 100 cases so far.
You said you can get lebron autos in blasters then immediately after say in blasters and hangars you can't sniff a lebron auto...after the 8 minute mark

I get why people don't like unlicensed. I've always enjoyed Leaf products, in part bc of the price. The prices on these are a head scratcher.
Topps chrome basketball is horrible so many base cards. I got one victor wemby graded 10 Gem to find out it only worth $70
