The PS3 was a lot like a PC. The amount of options on it were quite foreign to console gamers. You could use a vast amount of different headsets. You could use a Keyboard and Mouse for easier browsing. The 1st Gen PS3 was also Backwards Compatible with PS2 and PS1 games. And of course the hardware was quite powerful for its time but unfortunately that power was not fully utilised by many developers due to the complex architecture.

Hey in case you don't have a PS3 controller - you can connect your PS5 controller by USB, navigate to the menu, unplug the controller and hit the Create/PS button to start bluetooth searching, then plug it back in and hit connect. It'll work fine
You don’t need to have a ps3 controller for this to work. Just plug in the ps5 controller, navigate to the screen that says register new device, unplug controller and hold the 2 buttons down, when it starts flashing plug it back in and continue with pairing process. When it’s done unplug it and it’ll be working wirelessly

Works with Ninja Gaiden Sigma! I have to say though, even though the controller has a very nice premium feel, the face buttons are a bit mushy for my taste. I prefer a nice click.
You can make your ps4/ps5 controller in the accessory settings and (go to the second one from the top, i cant remember whats the setting called) to controller 1 and then it works, sometimes its bugging and you can play only with controller 2 so if controller one doesn't work then try controller 2
Yeah i just use the Ps4->Ps3 controller adapter and it works just like a ps3 controller. I use ps4 controller for everything now. Works for every game.
I hope that in the future Sony will release an update for the PS4 to make it compatible with Dualsense. It would be extremely practical to have a single controller that is compatible with the PS3, PS4, PS5, PC and Android/iOS, it is quite strange that DualSense is compatible with the PS3 and PS5 but not with the PS4.

Does it's directional buttons work pressing in diagonal direction, for example to press up and right to jump onto the opponent in Tekken 6/Tekken Tag tournament 2 or Mortal kombat 9? Ps4 controller on ps3 jad even this issue, it is very important to know.
@@Demos_Michael ds4 is much more compatible too. But the home button still won't work. Also any buttons with range will not work such as the triggers and pressure sensitive regular buttons. For games that require this you may be stuck with the original ps3 sixaxe

Get a Brook Wingman XE or a XE2 adapter both will work on your ps3 console. Then ALL Functions and all buttons on the ps5 dualsense controller will work as a ps3 dualshock controller with all ps3 games.
For those that don't know same thing goes to PS4 controller to PlayStation 3 that's what I got going on unfortunately PlayStation 4 controllers do not play on certain PlayStation 3 games just put that information out there if anybody needs it
Yeah I was hoping to use my ps5 controller so I can hook my pulse headset up to the audio jack but unfortunately that does not work. The ps5 controller works good tho.
I’m testing Oblivion with it and it has input lag when aiming up with the left analog stick. A bit disappointing because I am not used to this old PS3 controller and it’s way too small for my man hands!
It’s really weird that the ps3 recognizes the Dual Sense controller but not the ps4....I’m guessing the Duel Sense uses a similar Bluetooth signal native to the ps3.
@@Shaved_Ape yeah found out the hard way. Used one of those USB dongles which allow any controller to be used on the system. Was doing a no kill run on Snake Eater. But grabbed an enemy using the circle button, but since there's no pressure sensitivity, I ended up killing the guy.
I have a Problem with games who supports six axxis Feature. The enemy Attacks and i have to Shake the controller, but with the PS 5 controller it doesnt work. So i need My old controller like you have shown it next to me... This fact is sad, they need to fix this. All in all this is so nice and the New controller fits better with My hands to play old classic games like never before. :)

The PS3 works with all of these controllers because it's directinput compatible. The problem with directinput on PS3 are the problems mentioned in the video. Any controller with directinput support will have those problems. Plus they don't work at all under recovery mode.
No it doesn't. With This method you don't get the extra trigger buttons and no vibration. What you need to do is get the 8bit controller adapter for $30 and all will work, vibrate, ps button, sixasis, ect. With this method you could only play very few games cuz of the extra motion the ps3 controller has. I bought the wingman adapter and EVERY GAME WORKS. I'm currently on my 3rd play thru and it works awesome with the adapter. The only downside to the adapter is the ps button on the controller wont start up the ps3 cuz it basically reconnects everytime you turn it on. Trust me i don't play ps4 or 5, the adapter is a must!!!!

There are some games that don't work with it and it's sad. Some examples : Castlevania Lords of shadow (some buttons work, but most of them don't so it's not possible to play the game), Terminator salvation.

You can replace the rubers for new ones that are sold on amazon

It's because the PS4 does not have D-input. The PS3 only has D-input, The Dual Sense has both D-input and X-input.
But if you have a DualSense controller then you obviously have a PS5, so unless your PS5 is broken why would you go back to using a PS4?

Just tried it on Max Payne 3, unfortunately couldn’t get it to work. But the DualSense did connect!
Have you tested it with a wire connection? IGN showed that it works by just plugging in USB C.

The Dualshock 4 was not recognized in the MGS HD Collection, I'm curious if it works with the Dualsense now.
Strongly doubt it, those games use pressure sensitive face buttons and both the DS4 and DualSense got rid of them.
