Hi , I might help you out with the same , if you haven't come to Manchester yet . When I came to Manchester (an as engineering undergraduate) ,I brought my own laptop (macbook pro ) , my own phone ( iphone 11 max pro) and an ipad. I don't think that you explicitly need to buy smartphones or laptops from Manchester . You can carry your own
