How to Download and Manage Scopus Search Results: A Step-by-Step Tutorial

🔍 To begin this process, we have already run a search on #coffee production and sorted the results by relevance.
💻 After reviewing a list of results, you can choose documents to download to your reference management software. Click on the box to the left of the citation to select a document.
📥 Select #Export above the search results.
💬 A dialog box will appear. Choose #Mendeley, #RefWorks, or a file format compatible with your reference manager. #RIS is compatible with #EndNote, #ReferenceManager, and #Procite.
📄 There are different export limits for some of these methods. Click the question mark next to “Export document settings” to find out more about these.
👨‍💻 You can also create default settings that are used each time you export. Make sure you are logged in to Scopus and then expand the menu on the top right. And choose Export and reference management settings. Once you select your settings here, the export options will be saved for future sessions.
📩 To download the same four documents to read offline, select #Download.
⚠️ If you have not done so previously, you’ll be prompted to download the Scopus Document Download Manager extension before proceeding with your document download. Note that the Document Download Manager extension is available for #Chrome and #Firefox.
📚 Depending on your institution’s subscriptions, you’ll either be able to download the full text or the abstract. The files will be downloaded to the browser’s default Download folder.
📝 To create a bibliography for these 5 documents, click on the ellipsis above the document list and select Create bibliography.
