- Ah, the teenage years, that awkward stretch of life when my playlist was a hodgepodge of confusion and hormones. 🎶 One tune had a magnetic hold on me - the timeless Stand by Me. At thirteen, I was knee-deep in the enchanting allure of Ben E. King's classic, and man, that song was like a cozy blanket for the soul. 💖
Imagine this: 1961, Ben E. King, Leiber, and Stoller conjured up a masterpiece that's still rocking our socks off today. 🚀 Wrap your head around this - the Spotify and UA-cam numbers have skyrocketed past a whopping 2 billion! I mean, seriously, how does a gem like this keep its sparkle for over half a century? ✨
So, after playing Stand by Me on a loop for what felt like a lifetime in my teenage years, fast forward two decades. Yeah, that's right - a whopping twenty years later, a creative itch got the better of me, and I thought, why not spice things up a bit? 🎶 I took that familiar melody, shook it up, and gave it a different vibe. 🎤

Ah le début de l'adolescence… cette période un peu maladroite de la vie. Si je devais faire la playlist de ce que j'écoutais à 13 ans, je pense que j'aimerais pouvoir cacher certains de ses titres, haha. À cet âge, un peu comme pour la nourriture, on n'a pas que le goût des bonnes choses et on aime bien s'enfiler de la junk food. Mais un des titres de la playlist dont je n'aurais pas à rougir est Stand By Me ! 🎶👀
Vers 13-14 ans j'ai eu une passe où j'ai écouté cette chanson en boucle. La voix de Ben E. King, la ligne de basse mémorable, le magnifiques arrangement de cordes…. Stand by Me a été écrite en 1961 par Ben E. King et Leiber & Stoller (Jailhouse Rock, Hound Dog, …), aujourd'hui, fin 2023, UA-cam et Spotify combinés on est à plus de 2 milliards d'écoutes. C'est fou qu'une pépite garde son éclat pendant plus d'un demi-siècle. Je me réjouis de voir si le morceau plaira toujours autant dans 50 ans… ou si l'intelligence artificielle nous offrira Stand by Me chanté en duo par le Grand Jojo et Annie Cordy. 🤖🎤
Donc, après avoir écouté "Stand by Me" en boucle pendant ce qui semblait être une éternité pendant mes années d'adolescence, avançons de deux décennies. Je me suis dit "pourquoi ne pas essayer quelque chose de nouveau ?" J'ai pris cette mélodie familière, l'ai secouée un peu et lui ai donné une ambiance différente. 🔄🎶
