I have been wanting to put a counter top over our front loading washer and dryer for sometime now... Apparently today was the day! I got bored and decided let's do it!
I love the work you do, from the over the top well designed works of art (like the French cleat coat rack) to the simple but functional things around the house like this! Keep up the wood (good) work!
You can access them enough to turn them on and off. If anything remotely serious needs to be done then I use brad nails and no glue to make everything "easy" to disassemble.
The counter is very easily removable. It's only tacked in place. I did have to access the hoses later and it wasn't hard to take the counter off, do what I needed to do and then put it back.
Your son was the best part lol adorable. Great job and wish me luck

Arthur Southern Thank you very much! I really appreciate it!
Very nice!
This was the most helpful video I've watched so far! Hope mine turns out as sturdy lol
Thanks! And I hope so too! Good luck!
How thick is the board
That's the cheap way of doing it but you don't need fancy just practical . Great job
where did you get the under cabinet lights?
I got them at Sam's Club a while back. I used to use them in my shop but I had a couple extra after I "remodeled" in there.
Why didn’t you run the table top lol the way to the other wall?
To leave room for brooms, mops, and things if that nature.
Is this resting on washer and dryer also?
Yes it is. It was a little easier that way, to use the washer and dryer for support.
Is it allowed to put a top directly on a washing machine? Is it important that the washing is able to vibrate? Thanks
When the washer and dryer is shaking when being used. Does that cause any additional issue/noise?
How do you access the hoses if you need to?

What if you need to access the hoses in a hurry?

Crappiest laundry counter on UA-cam
