I really feel the first one was the best. It was really a difficult game where u needed to do your best to pass the missions or you wouldn’t be able to. I enjoyed as well the second one. After those two I just don’t enjoy the rest at all.
Something about the AI behavior really bugs me. Instead of finding cover and hiding back when somebody gets sniped, the Germans are just like "huh??? Lemme investigate this body" if I were seeing men drop dead I'd be like "ALERT! WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!"
I think if your army has secured an area and If you see your armymen on the ground, then you'll first check the body. You're not sure if he dead or unconscious because you've not heard any gunshot and you do not expect any intruder to be there.
If a sniper is shooting a long distance you won't hear it, just the crack of the bullet if it's close to you, or past big objects it distorts the sound waves and can make it seem as if it's coming from another direction. It's a very interesting subject. I was in Infantry Marines and also read alot of books about this subject. Every time America would get a great sniper coarse the conflict would end and we dumbly let it go. Ww2 happened and we scrambled to get experienced rank and file to open hasty schools to teach it again. They'd shoot at steel drums and sneak up and write on their 'enemy' with chalk to show they could sneak up on them. I believe it's the same author that wrote 9e confirmed kills about Carlos Hathcock. Another great book I've read many times is Sniper on the eastern front. Very good informative books on this. As to the game yes I hope on authentic they really pay more attention. Ppl say that they was sitting and eating when a fellow just collapsed and come to find out a sniper was in the area.
Reminds me of enemies in Skyrim or Fallout when you kill one of them and hide. They just go “Must have been the wind” and proceed to walk over the corpse of their dead friend to return to whatever idle animation they were in before. It’s really sad to see AI in a game that prides itself with having such variety in how you can do things, and iirc they are meant to triangulate your position when sniping, or at least they used to. You’d think for a stealth game that they would put some effort into the AI.
@@SIGNOR-G I mean, look at the AI from games like MGSV. They would actively look for you and went on alert and stayed on higher guard after finding a body or anything like that. It’s just sort of sad to see such brain dead enemies which are basically just shooting targets with guns.
Looks real good. Some of the AI seems a bit funky tho. Like at 35:48 it’s crazy that given a building right next to them blew up that they would immediately freak out and investigate, but they don’t even seem to notice. Firing your gun using standard ammo also doesn’t seem to alert them to quite the range you’d expect. Hopefully at higher difficulties they are less oblivious.
Idk about Mass production. It was a great idea but the war was over and the OSS was kaput. The SOE switched to MI6. With the leap in tech with auto loading rifles it was left to history. And it's a shame. With some tweaks it could've been a nice short sniper rifle bull pup so you still get the fps and a shorter package.

Love how open the maps are, yet how the mission’s get linear. With soldiers spread out accordingly, and so much room to move around. These games scratch the itch MGSV & older splinter cell games left on me.
Gameplay looks smooth. Graphics look pretty stellar. Sniper elite is like fun but i always feel It’s missing something slightly. Maybe a better level up system. Can’t really place my finger on it. But I’m definitely going to play this one. Solid series
I'm weirded out how healing yourself with medkits or take ammo from enemy weapons are things you need to put skillpoints into instead of basic gameplay.
What was that Jedi speed that was hilarious he was doing some serious hauling back and forth and almost didn't seem like he didn't know where to go that was hilarious so far excellent shooting dude I mean outstanding
I really more hope people start using 60fps frame caps with riva tuner if they intend to show gameplays on youtube as that would vastly improve smoothness as well as remove any visible tearing. Regardless, great video
2:05:02 at 2:05:11 Just by the plot, it indicates that there is a great story to tell in Sniper Elite 5. Just imagine, Lieutenant Karl Fairburne clashing with the best snipers in Nazi Germany. Imagine Josef “Sepp” Allerberger and Matthäus Hetzenauer on a mission to exorcise the "Desert Ghost" from Operation Kraken.
I know alot of people saying that AI of most games sucks like if they find dead body or hear shots they just stand in open field to get shot which i noticed was fixed in metal gear solid games where AI would find cover or some even hide. Even this small details can make game so much interesting like if u constantly do headshots AI would start wear helmets more often in metal gear solid
I don't really like the Sniper Elite games but it's gonna be coming to gamepass and it's just a new game to play so I'm looking forward to playing it I guess 🤣
I have two of those games. One is #2 or #3 episode…I don’t know for sure, without getting into my console…and the last one I bought, is #4 and I’ve only played the rifle range part.

Yeah, especially when theres a noise that should be pretty noticable behind them, like a door squeaking open 3 feet away

I played normal now easy and it changed in easy if you fire a sub sonic round the whole base hears you. It got tougher
