Very informative, thank you, you are probably the only one doing these type of reviews and comparisons. I just had to do all these comparisons myself before buying the Scooter for my son, and finally it was a desission between the Super soco CUX and the M+. The super soco was 200 cheaper and faster so I wanted to get it as a final desission. As I wanted to go to the local dealer to buy it I saw someone selling an unregistered M+ lite which is the 800w version , the price saving made me buy it dispute the fact it lacks the power I saved 800 quid . We love it and the power is not as bad as I imagined . If I get a second scooter it will have to be the super soco.
i bought one of these and yes it's as easy as u showed to derestrict..but im 135 kg and the fastest i get up to is 58-59kph..but there is no way i'm gonna bother declaring this as anything other than a moped and in new zealand u wud be an idiot to pay more than u need to for registration..rego for a non moped is more than twice the annual registration cost and no cop wud know or be bothered if it were or not..over here the store i bought mine from had already derestricted my test bike and showed me how to do mine..great service
Hi Reg. I am also in NZ and thinking about purchasing one of these. How have you found owning it? Have you had any reliability issues? Do you only have to derestrict once, or each time you start the bike? What has the dealer support been like? Hope you see this, thanks.
@@connor-n-minnie hi connor..the bike is great and being electric, is super reliable and fun to ride..not a single issue in the year i have owned it and i think i've only done 850 kms so it's pretty much new..now that it's winter i rarely ride it..but if u are serious about buying one, then i would be interested in selling mine cheaply..it cost me $4990 from hamilton motorcycles and has a 2 year warranty..that leaves 1 year still on the warranty and i have just re-registered it for another 12 months..if u are interested i can let u have mine for $3000..it is a great little scoot, but i need the cash to buy me the aerial grizzly electric bicycle that will probably cost me around $6000..cheers
@@SaintVader One way to look at it is that youre paying about £1000 to £1500 per KW of power. Eventually that will come down but the greater the power, the more you will pay. The CUx is the best value in those terms
It has been seen to cause the bike to need a battery lead if it is not put firmly in to place in the battery. Vmoto in the UK did supply new leads but charge for the battery top to be replaced if a new one is needed for it
@tom-jj5em there are bikes being sold without warranty and therefore with no aftersales support. This is one of them. So NO 2 year warranty on the bike and NO 3 year warranty on the battery. Your choice

I bought a CUX last year and I love it but because of lockdown it has sat unused in the garage since March. What's recommended for the battery? Should I charge it up every month or does it hold onto its charge well?
Your choice but if you have an accident or the got caught eg speeding and they checked, you wouldn't be insured so then you would points for driving without insurance
Excellent review and video. Is the CUx HD cam built in/standard? I'm new to these things and the only e-moped I have test driven (PUSA 45) frightened me to death as all the power was delivered instantly in a quarter turn of a very loose throttle. Does the CUx apply the power progressively and safely for novices?
Should I wait for the next batch with the camera included? Mode 1 would be my starting point. Trouble is the PUSA 45's two modes were Stationary and Flat Out.
In the UK, the batteries have a 3 year unlimited use warranty. I think manufacturers expect them to last about 5 to 6 years but obviously that depends on usage

oh..forgot to add..once de-restricted, it is is permanent..no need to do it again
I like the NIU scooters but the speed limiter is what keeps me away. The Super Soco CU is what I lean towards mostly due to the unlockable top speed..
So 47mph on the NGT is not fast enough?

Derestricting bike. Does it cause damage to battery and battery leads. Does it invalidate bike warranty

@keith brittan not per se but they will charge you for the new battery top and we will charge you labour to fit the new cable

CUx should maintain full speed at 30%. 80KG. No, Cruise Control is to keep the speed you have reached

Good question. For range it's probably the MQi+ but for power it's the CUx

In the UK, the first batch didn't come with the camera. It can be retro fitted though. If you are worried about power delivery, start off in mode 1
