Great report Andy! And as for the sea trout having worms, yeah some of them do, some of them don't. These fish that show up this time of year in the inlet are the ocean run fish, which are usually cleaner than the ICW fish. We had a few years that none of them we kept had any worms! You just never know. They are tasty, but I don't keep them anymore either. Fun to catch though, if you find them, you can usually catch a bunch of them!
@charlesachinelli3857 well maybe some of them come out of the river, not all of them. The spotted weak fish I'm talking about run down the beaches along with the weak fish we catch on the beaches sometimes year round, and more so in the winter. So to get it straight, you have the spotted sea trout in the ICW, and along the beaches you have the weak fish, and the spotted weak fish that run together in the winter time, but they are around the beaches most times where the coquina reefs are that harbor baitfish. The weak fish have no limits, but the spotted sea trout ones do. If you take a spotted sea trout, and a spotted weak fish, and put them side by side, you can tell the difference. I used to fish them commercially back in the day. Cheers.
is the walkway under the bridge open yet
Nice shirt!
Thank you! Got it on sale on Amazon! 👕
That's the one fish I would never want to take home. They have parasites does spaghetti worms best released everything else is fine

@WayneLandry-m9n those trout come out of the Indian River. Weakfish are with the bluefish on the migration.
