Just a bit of correction; The title is a bit erroneous. Digitization is the conversion of analog to digital, whereas digitalization (what this video is about), is the use of digital technologies and digitized data to impact and transform how work and business gets done. While the two terms are closely related, what is being discussed here, and what should be furthered across the continent is digitalization and it's efficacy in providing solutions to the continent's challenges.
That said and done, kudos to the entire the 77 debate team. The only way forward in transforming Africa is through active engagement in progressive ideas.

I tried to take a loan once to expand my already existing business of which has some what of a good track record but i was told to have collateral in form of land or a vehicle it was really disappointing. The banks really need to work on SME'S on this matter as well as provide some sort of guidance on how to increase revenue through technology. I really like the idea from the software developer about skill sets

@Thank you for your comment @Brian Gitobu I hope the people working in the banks will adhere to what young people are suggesting to them. Do you have a real example on what the banks should do?

@@DWThe77Percent Africa has different issues to solve as compared to Europe, Asia etc. Since the availability of internet in Africa a lot of young entrepreneurs are really informed and understand how to solve major challenges affecting them the only issue is financial backing. With major financial support and mentor ship i feel we can influence how our economies are run for example how M-Pesa has managed to achieve under Safaricom. Banks can either invest in Africa's entrepreneurs by providing financial instruments that can be readily available or link entrepreneurs with investors

Digitization refers to technology. Technology comes from a word that means to fabricate, in terms of the way of doing things. But digitization means more than technic. It refers to an era. An era where the categories of understanding are such, they allow a finer perception and conception of sensitive reality. Thus digitization. The impacts are not only technical. Because the rationality is itself affected. The rationality of African youth referring to the era of digitization have a rationality that intend apprehend, affected by the era in which they are born. This is one of the how digitization impact African youths.
