As for someone who is coming from a pure Bodybuilding based background i have some extrem amount of respect for these athletes, i mean its one thing to Master one exercise but putting it to use in a way to overcome these insanenly difficult challenges in a energy conservating way is Mind boggeling for me
@@Handsomeanthony68 another hater? So, you believe that Crossfit is the only sport where the athletes gets injuried? How come they made tia go back and change her chip on the peg board but the girl to the right of her didn’t put hers up and they didn’t make her go back and change hers? Tia probably would have took first in that if that didn’t happen

"Wish she recover true path of health and wisdom and fitness.
It always amazes me how people from the individual sports done in Crossfit have anything negative to say about these athletes. Crossfit is literally a sport of its own. Quit nit picking based on YOUR specialty. "I can do an 18 minute three mile! These guys are so slow!". Good job, you've completed basically nothing in Crossfit.
That's like with MMA, where of course an MMA fighter will be worse at wrestling than a wrestler, and worse at boxing than a boxer. (Obviously I mean *on average*). But that's beyond the point, because it's the combination of skills that counts. Every person's day is just 24 hours, you can't outtrain someone if you go for an all-round skill set while they settled for narrow specialization.
Most of the top cross fitters are slower than the average casual runner. Its not about being even remotely close to competitive runners. If the title is going to be "The fittest man on earth" and they claim endurance is part of that fitness, they should have better than mediocre endurance. Currently its pretty much all about how many squats you can do when you're out of breath. Thats just my opinion though.
My point is, it's cross fit athletes vs cross fit athletes. Comparing their individual times or achievements to anything else just doesn't make any sense.
@@quinnrafferty4635 Taken straight from their website "Our athletes are trained to bike, run, swim, and row at short, middle, and long distances guaranteeing exposure and competency in each of the three main metabolic pathways." Crossfit as a whole tends to promise that it will significantly boost people's endurance, but that claim falls short when even their top athletes struggle in endurance events.
Not biggest fan of some of the events in CrossFit. I love this one! I like the use of balance and strength and hopefully more vents like this will be added. Maybe even take away kipping pull ups
Kipping pull ups is an art and if done correctly isn't dangerous its efficient. If you took those movements away you would have to take olympic gymnastics away.
Please someone explain to me, i'm no expert on crossfit and i'm just getting into it but, isn't unfair that the exercises they do are not corrected to the weight of the person doing them? i mean, for a 170 pound guy a 45lb plate represents a different challenge that for a 200pound guy, how is that fixed?
I think it evens out when it comes to other events, sometimes even smaller athletes beat the big ones. Check out Cody Anderson, smaller than most but still one of the best ✌🏼
Its like the pegboards.. Bridges was on fire on them and is weight and height was an advantage but to make more competitive for all the yoke weights are present
Keep the weight the same but adjust the height on the yoke. I mean come on!! If you can't get the clearance from the floor it isn't going to move. Stop penalising shorter athletes. This is why I like strongman/woman we get to set out yoke heights.
Though it doesn't matter, Tia should have won the last event, having to move her rep marker when Horvath's judge didn't require her to move it. I bet Tia's judge felt dumb because that was a bad call on his part.
There are many little movements that I dont understand because their dont change anything but the visual. Putting the chip upper in the round counter on the pegboard in each round it not make sense but as Gustavo said, it makes the people knows how many reps has done the athlete

I only know a very little about the human body. It's very interesting to watch these athletes move. Even these men have some jiggle in their Pectoral tissue: Some do, but some don't.
