- The Premier of Canadian province of Alberta - Jason Kenney - has announced his government is filing a court challenge against Justin Trudeau for invoking the “unjustified” Emergencies Act last week.
Mr Kenney released a video to his Twitter account where he argued the act wasn’t designed for situations like the Freedom Convoy protest.
“The federal government’s invocation of the Emergencies Act is an unnecessary and disproportionate measure that can violate civil liberties, invades provincial jurisdiction and creates a very precedent for the future," he said.
Don't sue him, arrest him.

As a Canadian Citizen, was suprised and shocked when Trudeau invoked emergency powers for reasons that I do not feel convinced. I thought, "This is happening in Canada of all places?". I leaned towards conservative Stephen Harper when I voted, but when Trudeau was voted in, he was very popular with my fellow Canadian citizens.

To say "the protest was largely made up of truckers" isn't correct. Initially maybe so. But for the majority of the duration of these protests regular Canadians have made up the bulk of those protesting.
