DragonForce DF65 UK National Championships 2022

A short report from the DF65 DragonForce 2022 UK National Championships held by Eastbourne & District Model Yacht Club at Princes Park in Eastbourne in August of 2022.
The DF65 is the a popular one design model racing yacht with an active racing circuit in the UK. Popular in local clubs, this boat provides an ideal introduction to Model Yacht Racing and can be raced all the way up to National Level
More details of the DF65 or DragonForce can be found by checking out some of our other videos which go into some detail but basically the boat is a mass produced, off the shelf model yacht that is raced as a one design class, all boats are technically the same and available at low cost, which provides close and competitive racing.
Radio Sailing (Model yacht racing) is a competitive form of yacht racing run along similar lines to dinghy racing and keelboat racing.

Great video's, our DF65 fleet is growing nicely here in NZ with a regular 12-15 boats coming out on a Saturday morning for a sail in Auckland

Thanks for your comments. It is difficult for us to cover full races in the way your channel does as we are both competing and filming at the same time which means we can only get limited footage. Love your channel, keep up the good work. Chris & Lisa
