I do like those lights, the horse show halo looks great. I opted for the Wipac headlights and am very pleased with them - brightness is good. I have the added addition of my Lazer drl’s / spots in my bumper that come on with the high beam giving unbelievable light on dark roads when needed. Keeps the updates coming always a fan of your videos - just bought Optimill Bonnet and Rear Door hinges at Billings last week.
Hi Doc, another fantastic upgrade, really great improvement to an already great machine. I think people were flashing their headlights at you in an acknowledgment of your fine automobile. Only one more thing that would make your defender look perfect ….is to put it in my garage. Lol All the best Regards Peter
Thanks for another great video. LED headlight availability is a mine field so this has helped me decide. You said you’d like the bumper drl’s on as well. I’ve put a switch in line from the low beam feed to the drl unit which allows me to have both on during daytime. The bumper drl’s also come on when main beam is on and gives a good spread of light in front of the Land Rover.
Looks good 👍. The new LED headlights on todays vehicles, and also aftermarket retro-fit ones, are certainly better to illuminate the road ahead while driving, but, they play hell on my eyes at night from oncoming vehicles. 😳
I got these as an upgrade from the standard halogens and they are absolutely lovely headlights, nice cutoff on low beam to not dazzle oncoming, and high beam is amazing. Wired the DRL into the side lights above the indicators. Very nice
You know I get very discouraged when I get a part to install and it is such poor quality. I guess that is the trade off. You pay more for a quality part like this, but it feels good to know that part is taken care of. For me it might just mean, I need to save up a bit longer. Thanks for the video and the discount.
Been thinking about new headllights for my otherwise stock looking Puma. Really like the look of Halo lights, but as you say, they're 10 a penny and it's difficult to know what's good / high quality, and what's just cheap rubbish. Maybe I should just go this route? Bit meh about the DRL pattern mind
why do you have a defender if you don't use it? There's a ton of people now with defenders, they put all the cool parts they can find, turning the car into an accessory storefront, but then nothing is use and tested in real off road. I don't get the point. sorry to comment on your video.
Had 3 LR's, essential kit........Haynes manual, spanners, socket set and a huge box of bushes.
😂👌🏻
I’ve had these fitted for six months and they work really well although I didn’t know they had a DRL function! They’re really well built too.
Back at it again with another great video and a great upgrade mate! That front end looks is looking so smart now - Thanks for the shout out too
Thanks mate- you were the inspiration! 🙏🏼

OMG So bright! I love the looks of new EYES. Looks sick but I like them! I guess People in UK need bright light even day time...

his dipped beam on the right looks like its set too high.

Essential Land Rover accessory: AA Membership!!! 🇬🇧👍
Great video! Cheers Dr
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@thedoctorsgarage I was almost sold on the new defender, but keen to bring one like yours back to life and mod

You can put the dimer for drl's. 😉
Cheers. 🍻
Hi mate , looks awesome thst upgrade 👌🏻. I’ve got a 1999 TD5 I’ve got the eBay halo ones will I need the ballasts to fit ?
No just goes straight in no ballast needed- if you’re looking to buy the code TDG at checkout on ORE gets you some discount 👌🏻
Trucklite headlights are the only way to go, good enough for Bowler, expensive but worth it.
Mr defender doctor what arches have you got??

Are these lights CE marked as I’m hearing stories of MOT examiners failing Landy’s fitted with LED headlights? I
They’re cool lights, no doubt. But not my cup of tea for the Defender.
But it’s your baby… you do you 👍
ORE stuff looks quality and generally, u get what u pay for but at almost £500 including shipping, way too steep for me.
Crazy price, I'm happy with upgraded bulbs!
I've got old h4 bulbs, never got lost in the dark!
Very smart 👍🏻
Cheers!
Nice! 👍
👌🏻👌🏻
Looks great but horse shoe should be inverted if superstitious 🤪😍
Well done you have just failed your mot as led after 1986 must be factory fit
Too damn expensive I want them but for the price it’s rediculous for anyone with normal people incomes
Heres some Landrovers that has had big upgrades lol ua-cam.com/video/yZqBEhf9Vrg/v-deo.html

At £444.00 I will pass, however good vlog Doc.

not again you can,t stop can you you don't even drive it more than a mile LOL
Absolutely NO led's on my vehicle! They are too bright, dazzling oncoming traffic.
I prefer the look of the old ones. Sorry
It's not a car, it's a defender or a landy
Money to burn. Stick to stock.
Stock are absolutely terrible!
