Have several varieties of daylilies myself, along with Asiatic lilies. They are gorgeous and can't kill them...unless you spray weed killer on them. I love how they multiply. Yours are so pretty.
I love to watch your program. It makes me egger to garden and enjoy gardening. In fact, I plan on planting purple smoke trees, Phlox flowers and Russian sage.
This is 2024, so very late reply to this comment. The very whitish, tall variety in the background may be Joan Senior. It is probably the whitest of all the daylillies. There may be newer ones that I’m not familiar with, however.
I love day lilies, but their most important attribute is that deer don't seem to like them, although one took a bite last year but didn't come back for more. LOL
Enjoyed this tremendously! You've inspired me so much Alan. I've planted my first daylilly bed....this spring and ordered 50 bulbs from Gilbert Wilde Nursery. Looking forward to next spring & summer 😊
