i feel like youre allowed to have them afterwards because if you play that beggining part of the game without em you get a feeling for what the actual game will be like and i guess the game trusts you not to get illegitemate unlocks
They're not disabled, you just can't get any unlocks or achievements until you beat mom's heart for the first time unmodded

Wdym? The reason Matt couldn't do Mega Satan is because of Forget Me Now, not because he didn't get the second key piece at that time. (He also gets the second piece later)
@@BoredCatGC he got 2 key pieces, they got used, then he grabbed a key piece from super secret room, used forget me now and hoped for a second key piece which he didn't get
if he grabbed that second key piece that spawned at 13:18 after fighting the two angels, he would've gotten inside the mega satan fight after using forget me now

Perhaps the most challenging and riveting Isaac run I’ve seen in a while. I was on the edge of my seat. You really cut it close with the range down pill, I thought it was all over at that point. But you proved everyone wrong. Bravo Mattman, bravo.

Seperate note: you should try the Zaza Milk mod 👀 looks kinda wild (not sure if you’ve done it already)
Fun fact: the super secret room at 21:33 with an angel statue is actually a room from the base game.
Another fun fact: you only remove items from the pool if you picked them up. Revealing an active item and not picking it up to put it back down, will still give you a chance of getting the item again later on in the run.
If you play as Isaac for example, you should pick up the active, then pick your D6 back up and then reroll, instead ot rerolling immediately.

I'd like to see you showcasing the Toaster's resprites mod, it's really nice to the point where I ask you to put the character selection screen in the video if you use it because the drawings are too worked on to just skip even one (I think it's still WIP, so not every item is resprited, but the ones that are look really fresh) Congrats to the creator BTW, if you read this, you did well

1:17 we have finally found him. the Basement Boy.
I vividly remember the day I got Golden Pill + Endless, Nameless.
Ended up with 1.5 Range, 20+ shot speed and I was so large that I covered up like half of the room.
It was almost impossible to deal damage at that point but it was still funny as hell

You should do a Sharp Cursor run but give yourself the blindfold so you only do damage by clicking on enemies :3 it could be fun~!

Tonight i had a dream where i was playing the binding of isaac, it was a normal run until i ran into an L shaped shop (likea big room), it had sacred heart, 20/20, Xray glasses and a bunch of other 10 cent items i forgot, completely offtopic but since i just woke up i figured i'd share before forgetting
