We don’t follow what the world thinks, we follow what our loving God thinks! He has given us clear instructions in His Word, the Bible... and He loves everyone without exception, BUT not everyone loves Him, they run away from Him instead of into His loving arms... If people understood how much God loved them and opened up their heart to Him, they would be totally astonished to His goodness and His comfort in the middle of this sinful and difficult world, they would gladly serve Him in response to His generosity effortlessly... and sooner than you think, find hope in His eternal Kingdom, for this life is passing away quicker than you think... I have always liked Ann her straight talking and no nonsense approach to life however her conversion to Catholicism I find to be really curious. I am not trying to upset Catholic’s indeed many of my own family are Catholics but I personally cannot get my head around or reconcile the Pope believing that he is God here on earth or the vast wealth, riches and secrets of the Vatican. I do not believe in hero worshipping or the worship of anyone other than God.. As for penance doesn’t that make a mockery of what our good Lord did for us on the cross? We are to accept His free gift. That was the point surely that He gave His life for the forgiveness of (our) sins and He did it “once and for all” Therefore yes we can repent but I fail to see where penance comes in. Surely that is personally trying to good work yourself in to heaven rather than receiving the awesome sacrifice our Lord made for us. God loves us and we are His children. As our Father our heavenly parent He does not want us to pay penance and certainly not forever. Which parent wants their son or daughter to be forever penitent. He came to sacrifice for” us, “ our sacrifices could never be enough. We are saved through the blood of the Lamb not through anything we can do. It is all about Him, not you ! It is not what you do, it is all about what He has already done for you and for all the world. He is the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the “whole” world. He didn’t come to just take away your sin. We are all sinners and He came to take away the sins of the whole world not just the sin of those who forever practice penitence. He wants us to love Him and so love God. He paid the price for us so we don’t have to. That’s His gift to us, love, forgiveness, redemption, salvation and life eternal with Him. Not self inflicted penance. Catholic or Protestant God loves you and wants you to know and love Him, your creator and Heavenly Father.

It will be so great to be free of death, pain, lack, hunger, fear etc forever ... mind you to be honest I am so blessed I do not suffer with any of those now, except that I do worry and occasionally fear for others but a prayer soon sorts all that out 🐣👍❤️
