That's a cool looking 120 pounder! Might just need a few tweaks (someone said Minotaur prongs, I think also something to protect the weapon belt) and you could have a winner!
could anyome tell me what type of machines and what type of welding tools are used to make battlebots like these and all the electronics you need, thanks, i have a lot of questions and would love to make some cool battlebots like these!! not to enter into the battlebots contest, but just for personal use or for fun,
SSnoWHand oh sorry i know this is a month old but in case you still dont know there would be the head of robo games ( i think? I forget if he is) whos name escapes me. As well as team velocity.
SSnoWHand little late reply but that was Polar Vortex vs. Megabyte, Megabyte being the spinning dome of death. Check out King of Bots, a Chinese battlebots style show where megabyte fought and did very well! All of the episodes are on UA-cam!
Its a dead shaft that fits into blind holes on the frame, and also bolted at the ends. And the drum consists of 2 segments, each with 2 tapered roller bearings press fit in.
I hate wedge bots. If I ran a competition, you would be required to have some type of weapon other than just a boring ass wedge or push bumper. ZZZZzzzzzzz.....
mimixownzall they make all other bots better, and fast wedges are great and one of the few things that counter gigantic spinners, the other is a pushblock. Hell why do you think original sin wins so much, the driver is great and he can counter spinners
mimixownzall so youre one of those fans, understandable, but please understand that this is a sport, not just a destruction derby, and that if wedges didnt exist its likely most of the destructive designs would be either less effective or perhaps not even exist without them.
Yes, avoiding weapons takes driving skill. Positioning yourself to use your weapon on a weak spot takes driving skill. Pushing someone around doesn't. You ever seen two wedge machine 'battle' each other? Boring as fuck.
No, that was Ray Billings the guy who made Tombstone with his bot Last Rites which came along before the heavyweight bot Tombstone we saw on the Battlebots reboot.
Mandii was a good looking robot but it does need little wedges or prongs like Minator has . Hopefully you'll do better next time .
Quality content. We need MOAR!
Yeah
you fought your own battlebot? nice xD you made another bot, very great stuff

The Lyle Sports Channel watch the UA-cam channel Robert Cowan, he makes detailed high quality videos about combat robots.
Cnc machine, drill press, saws capable of cutting metal, Soldering iron, welder, screw drivers, drill, drill bits, power source, lathe, water jet, heat gun, and more.
are those self thread taping screws for plastic? Use the torx heads less chance of stripping than a Phillips head
what was you weapon and your armor made out of
What was the song you guys used at 3:31?
Cuál es el nombre del otro robot ?? De la primera pelea
So presumably the next iteration will have a feeder wedge?
wheathampstead probably a toro style one
That massive Blendo inspired dome of death @4:10 just gave you an upvote. Any other sources of that fight?
SSnoWHand oh sorry i know this is a month old but in case you still dont know there would be the head of robo games ( i think? I forget if he is) whos name escapes me. As well as team velocity.
SSnoWHand also thatd be megabyte

It’s Megabyte, gigabyte’s older brother 😊
how did you connect the drum to the actual robot? it wasn't clear in the build video.
2 V-belts on pulleys.
ThisDustIn i mean like how the drum stays on the the bot, like do you have a shaft going through it or bearings at the edges?

Cool, thanks.
That was awesome.
Awesome!
Sick
Great video
If you are gonna copycat Minotaur then do it right. Add some feeder wedge/fork!
radical dude

mimixownzall whats bs is being able to get stuck on the arena
Because I want to see destruction. It is what is exciting. Watching wedge bots push people around is boring.

the last red one was a remake of tombstone
DroneCarnage 999.999.999 views actually its the other way around, tombstone is a slightly heavier last rites made to not associate it with battlebots.

Maceo Sikes Tombstone as a super heavyweight has been around since 2004.
Bad robot driving !
69th like ;)
