One more amazing interpretation of this song. Hats off for the parts of the tune in harmony . The Shadows sound and the Marvin's way of playing lead guitar is back,, thanks to Oswald.
Absolutely brilliant, I actually thought you were miming this, then I realised you were playing it , fantastic Oswald, also you play some of my favourite tunes, I love this, cricket bat boogie and especially years away, I could listen to you play all day, thankyou for making me happy
Hello Darrell.. thanks for your kind reply.. Though I read music notation or tabs..I keep away from them. Never use them when I record.I play by memory..more Feel. Thanks
You are an outstanding guitarist! I've listened to thousands of Shadows covers, but yours are the best. The word is one - genius performances! Thanks for the pleasure of watching and listening to you. Please tell me, do you make the backing track yourself or do you use ready made ones?
Hello Stefan.. thanks very much for listening and your kind reply.. There are many fine players out there. I actually create tracks tabs/notations for sale.. But this track I got from Jan who has a VST page and did a reduced lead guitar track. Thanks so much for your encouraging words.I appreciate them very much.
Great playing. One of my favourite Shadows tracks. You have Hanks phrasing and feel. This song also makes a great solo Spanish guitar song. I have been arranging some choice Shadows tunes for Spanish guitar. They work really well.I try to catch the spirit of the Shadows in my own way. Have a listen ua-cam.com/video/QCFQzxxmX4w/v-deo.html Great playing Oswald. You have the spirit
Hi- Thanks for your very kind words and encouragement. I appreciate it- Yes, I listened to your Classical version of Las Tres Carabelas..That was very beautiful..Carry on with your great work! Thank you.
@@oswaldperera4643 thanks Oswald. Let’s hear more from you. Perhaps “The breeze and I” or “It’s Been a blue day” or “Sweet Dreams” Hanks sound is really so distinct on those recordings. Anyway, whatever you play, you’ll play with style.
@@stringalong3452 Thanks for your suggestion of some songs by Shadows..Reason is too many people play those songs already..so I guess I play most of the lesser known songs.. But anyway, If I get the urge to do them..maybe 1 day I will.
@@oswaldperera4643 that makes a lot of sense. The rarer the better. Maybe “Friends” which was on the rarities album. That makes a great solo piece on fingerstyle guitar as well. Think Hank uses his Burns guitar on it. Or “Morning Star” another great track written by Jerry Lordan. But no pressure Oswald, just suggestions because I know you will do it in style
@@oswaldperera4643 I did an arrangement of Jessica that Hank covered in one of his later solo albums. Fun to play it. Dropped D tuning. I was on a tour in America last year and had a fold up travel guitar. Straight into the iPhone. It’s great fun playing these melodies. I listened to Return to the Alamo again. I seem to be listening more to your version than the shad! Keep em coming! ua-cam.com/video/UjFx4Mn5QZI/v-deo.htmlsi=MptBL2oN_xC40Fa5

Superb version, played it just like Hank.
Thanks Stephen, Yeah maybe like Hank.. but I actually want to sound like myself.. but I keep getting this type of Twang sound.
