It's not the most clear cue. Place your hands on your ribs with your fingers point towards each other. Then exhale and contract your ribs so your fingertips move closer towards each other. That's zipping up your ribs" or you could imagine a shoestring laces through all of your front lower ribs and you tighten the laces to stitch your lower ribs together. Problem is a lot of people flare their ribs and this cue is to help reduce flaring
I felt the burn for this one!!!🔥🔥🔥 In a good way. Love that we can really work our abs without doing a single crunch. Thanks for the amazing vid Sarah! I feel energized to start my day.
Wow day 9 🎉 that star pose was really something! Intense but it felt great ❤ had a little trouble knitting my ribs but I need a little more practice ❤ remember practice not perfect ❤❤
Day 9 SBY! The music during the intense part, is the same as the yoga for posture video. That video i used for more than a year, starting in 2020. At the beginning of my weight loss and life change journey. What a flash back! Good morning SBY and have a great day!
This was such an amazing routine. Thank you so much for the 10 minute routine. It made me feel so strong & helped me realise how much I need yoga- and you ❤. Today's a great one. I didn't do very well on the second day, Core Yoga, so I was worried for this one but I managed to do better than last week. Thank you for the options. Beginners like me really needed them 🙏
oh wow, that was a doozy 😩🧘🏾♀ it was hard to breath holding rib together, belly in, pelvic tilted 😮💨 so constricted first time i wished i was doing crunches instead 😆😅 definitely a challenging practice that I'm glad i made it through. Namaste 💜
Nice! I had to do all of the modifications, but it still felt good. Is it weird that I felt it in my upper thighs more than my core when I was supposed to be engaging my core?
when that happens modify even more so you can focus more on your core. Sometimes that means the tinest of movements in order to get your core to engage and strengthen so your legs don't take over
Hi Sarah, when I put my hands out on the ceiling and roll out my wrists. There's a discomfort in my shoulder joints. Have I done something incorrectly? Is this normal? By the way, thank you so much for being an amazing YOU!
It could be general tightness. Don't push into pain. Go only as far as comfortable and start committing to a daily movement practice to help you stretch out your chest and shoulders. Also be aware of your posture throughout the day and where you might be rounding your shoulders forward. Adjust the chairs you sit in, at work, in the car, lounging on the couch. so you can adopt a more open posture in your chest
This is a great workout, but I don't understand how to "stitch" my ribs. Like, physically I don't understand what I'm supposed to be doing. Especially since it seems very important for most of these poses. Anyone have any suggestions?
