Wow such a cute couple. A partner who is there for your bad times as well as good times is a keeper😊 Also wow $450 is cheap and a good price. If they sold it at klienfield it would be triple or four times the price for such a nice dress
I was born with a CHD and have had several open heart surgeries throughout the years. I totally get wanting to cover the scar, especially on her special day. Although I have gained so much confidence and love my scar now(and I personally don’t think I will intentionally cover it. Although it will probably be covered, because I love high neck dresses), I have read some comments about how a necklace or some makeup could cover it or how she should just rock it, because it’s small/not too noticeable. But it’s so much harder than that. It might take her a while to get used to it and that’s ok. All that matters is that she feels beautiful on her wedding day and if a dress that covers her scar is going to have her feeling her best, then I say good for her for knowing what she’ll feel good and comfortable in. I used to get asked a lot about my scar, so I get feeling like people will focus more on your scar than you. She looked lovely in that dress(and that price blew my mind)! I hope she has/had an amazing wedding.
Her scar looks wonderful. It’s apart of her testimony. Also, that surgeon did an incredible job. It’s small and the skin is not discolored and dead. I think she should embrace it and love it because that scar is what kept her alive. But I do understand having an insecurity. She and the scar are gorgeous.
I don't think it's an insecurity-- she just doesn't want the scar to pull attention on her wedding day. If she were really insecure about the scar, she wouldn't be so calmly talking about it and showing it on TV. I agree that the surgeon did a wonderful job.
I have the same scar, however my scar is darker and bigger. Therefore, I understand why she wants it covered because people tend to stare at it instead of you. I don't plan to cover it during my big day. It's part of me and my testimony.
I'm hoping she got over the scar issue because I don't think people will be looking at it and the strap looked better where it was originally. She looked so beautiful that the scar didn't stand out.
Update for those who are curious: I looked the bride up on Facebook, and she ended up leaving the strap as it was and just putting a small necklace over the scar!
Her scar is a testament of how strong she is! She has fought a hard fight and she overcame her battle. I hope she becomes more comfortable with her scar and embrace it.
She chose a very beautiful dress which really showed off her lovely figure. So nice she could get it at a good price! Her scar just isn't that bad, really, but if SHE is self-conscious about it, I can understand her wanting to minimize it. That said, my wedding dress would have covered 80% of an open-heart surgery scar, and my three older sisters' wedding dresses would have covered such a scar completely. There aren't many options for brides who don't want to show cleavage or half their back nowadays, at least not on these shows.
There is another place like this in Mechanicsville, NY call brides and more. I bought my dress there for about $200. They sell prom/ bridesmaids dresses as well.
That’s awesome. I had multiple surgeries myself growing up. I had a large 8 lbs tumor in my stomach, i also had my appendix ruptured and almost died. Had 5 surgeries in total so far so I have a long scare from the middle of my breast all the way to the bottom of my stomach. For years I never wore a bikini, or a crop top. Nothing that exposed my stomach because I was so insecure about my scare. Now I don’t care, my scares don’t me at all.
I hollered when she gave the price of that dress. the back of that dress is beautiful and when the strap was moved it became even more alluring. I am so glad that girl said yes to that dress.
Wow! This is very amazing. The price was very cheap for a beautiful wedding gown. She’s very lucky for finding the perfect dress at an affordable price. Congratulations.
She is beautiful even have tht scar. She shouldnt feel ashame of it , its part of her , she is strong woman....a fighter. May her life fill with happiness with her husband.
As someone who has a pretty visable scar on my back, I can totally understand why she felt more comfortable covering up the scar. She looks beautiful with or without her scar showing, but if she feels more confident with her scar covered up, then she should pick a dress that covers her scar.
@@troybolton6444 Exactly. I have multiple scars from a big surgery and even if others don't notice or care, it still bothers me sometimes. It really doesn't matter what others think. That I agree with. But people forget that how we feel does matter.
After seeing so many episodes where family members and friends wanted their picks rather than the bride's happiness, or said cruel things about someone they were supposed to love, it was so refreshing to see how loving and supportive her mom, cousin, and friend were. All they wanted was for her to love her gown and feel comfortable with coverage for her scar.
I love this. I see the pain in mum though. It doesn't matter how old your kids gets, they are always your baby. This mother just got through the worst fear of her life as well as the bride. Love to them both xxx
I didn't even notice the scar but I do understand how she feels., in time the scar will be no big deal. But being so fresh it does matter. The dress is gorgeous. Moving the strap over will make a big difference. A drop necklace would take away the beauty of the dress
She looked stunning and I could not believe the price! There is special make up to cover scars as well. With the amount of money she still had in her budget she could find a make up artist for the wedding day who could cover it.
She is so humble and elegant..the dress suits her beautifully ..I like they way she said focus she be on her...while all most ever show girls come and say I want to look sexy.... being bride I think one wants to look the best beautiful and angelic ...
That scar is not at all bad. I think she is just self conscious about it. I wish she wasn’t so focused on it but the trauma is still very recent for her.
I think the scar is so small compared to some I've seen in weddings that I have attended. I understand her point of view and I just wanted to say that she is gorgeous with or without the scar. I wanted to show off my scar after back surgery because I over came something that I never thought I could! Get it girl!
I didnt see her scar until she pointed it out. People wouldn't be looking, but if it makes her more comfortable to have it covered up then she should do it. Beautiful dress, and a fantastic price :)
Everyone saying her scar isn’t bad or not bad at all and everything . Guys it’s about her and obviously it makes her insecure so let her B and let her feel what she feels .
It’s a shame that she wanted to cover up her scar, but the last thing she should feel on her wedding day is discoumfort or self consciousness. That’s such a beautiful dress, with or without the alteration
Totally understand how she feels took me some time to embrace my battle scar as well.. I to overcame a medical scare back in 2013. And had to have major heart surgery due to a clot.. Always remember we are not our SCARS 💋❤
Even I had a leaky heart problem that I was born with. Had to get it operated when I was a child. And since then elders always told me to cover my scars and did not allow me to wear low neckline dresses or tops. Still find it frustrating. Though I don't really care if it shows. It's a part of me and makes me special. I hope the others can recognise this as well. I can totally understand this girl in feeling is way. She looks very beautiful eitherway.
I have the same scar. It's been with 36 years and I'm proud to show me scar off because it shows that at the age of 5 I was able to overcome so much in my life and if I can do that at such a young age I should be able to overcome anything that life throws at me
She honestly looked so good in all the dresses but the price of the last one blew me over!!
Ikr! $450 is an amazing price
R14iify ikr.never seen a dress this pretty n at this budget @kleinfeld

I love how supportive her Mom is💓

I don't understand how people can be so rude and ask questions about body features. My goodness.
I don't think her scar is ugly or distracting but MAN she had an amazing surgeon and great genes for it to have healed up so nicely 😄
The mom’s sadness when she mentioned seeing her daughter in a hospital gown and now a wedding gown ...
Her scar looks wonderful. It’s apart of her testimony. Also, that surgeon did an incredible job. It’s small and the skin is not discolored and dead. Yes Queen 👑!!!
I have the same scar also. I embrace my scar. If it wasn't for my surgery I wouldn't be alive.
That scar shows the world you are a warrior and a force to be reckoned with
@@a697ag Thank you.
I have the same scar and I totally understand why she wants it covered too
the scar is tiny! Why not put a necklace over it?
I was saying the same thing one to drop better the breast
Right!!?
Or concealer?
I'm hoping she got over the scar issue because I don't think people will be looking at it and the strap looked better where it was originally. She looked so beautiful that the scar didn't stand out.
Omg that would work too

i mean a makeup artist can cover that scar in seconds
But by the end of the night makeup would be all over the top of the dress and her husband’s shirt.
@@carmay3600 no,sfx makeup is very long wearing
carmay3600 not if your artist uses an alcohol based makeup, which is smudge and sweat proof.

What a lovely family! All the best to this sweet bride and her groom!
Such great prices! Where is this place?
Ikr!! I wanna know too
It’s called Vows, the dresses are off the rack samples and discontinued dresses the store buys from other retail bridal salons

Whats wrong if there is scar!! Girl you are so pretty and you can easily embrace it. The one shoulder dress was so pretty on you.
