I totally agree to your Review! :) I own a Lotus Exige S240 and a Toyoa GR86. The Exige is the fun raw racer and in comparison the GR86 is a luxurious GT that i can drive daily and in winter ^^
Great review! Nailed it except that I have to disagree on this being a challenging fit for tall drivers. I’m a tad over 6’3” and this is the only lightweight car I fit it and it’s comfortable once you’re in! I Do not fit in an S2000 or Miata 🤷🏼. Hence why I bought one 👍🏼
I commute with a 1.4l Alfa Romeo Giulietta - similar to the Dodge Dart, I think - and I bought an Elise a few months ago wanting the same: something raw after my daily. And it works great, even though mine has just a 140hp Rover engine, still feels like a race car. And I bet you, you'll see the irony of your weekend Elise drinking much less than your daily driver.
That is a REAL Lotus car. Pure, lightweight, simple, analog. Whatever Chinese B.S. is coming out of Lotus right now is a shame. Big heavy EVs with giant Ipad screens... Hybrids... the Emira is the last decent Lotus for sure.
The steering getting light and under steering is to counter snap oversteer. It's like an early warning before you die. Be careful when fitting wider fronts!

Thanks for clarifying which rack you were talking about 🤣
👀
Honestly this shows that you don't need crazy power figures to have a great car
A truth that takes many far too long to understand
@@jubbalandcarsne serais ce pas la voiture ou tu as pris le plus de plaisir ? 🥰
Now this is my ideal weekend car in a great spec! It would complement my GR86 daily driver nicely.
I have yet to test an Elise but I really want to, great video as always!

Emira I love, but many purists argue it’s too chunky compared to the ethos of Lotus
@@jubbalandcars Then Lotus is truly dead. Rip 😔

Have you tried a Caterham yet, you’d love it on those roads?!
Not yet!
