I'm an Australian law student as well and completely agree with taking it down a notch when you need to! Law, like medicine or engineering, or any rigorous study program, is really a marathon and not a race. Love that more people in law are talking about how essential it is to monitor and where necessary take action to protect your mental health :)
OMG THIS IS VIDEO IS VERY USEFUL AND IT HAD GAVE ME SOME IDEAS TO BE READY FOR 2022 BECAUSE IM INTERESTED IN STUDYING LAW. THANKS DURL... DO MORE YOU ARE ALWAYS APPRECIATED
Good on you for posting this, thank you! I'm 36, a stay at home dad to 2 kids under 4 and run my own business. I started my JD last week and having watched this video feel good about my choice. Appreciate the tips and advice. Ill update you in 6 years time when its all over.
I have found being a mature aged student, studying law at 31, it has been a lot less perceived pressure. The break from rote learning in secondary education allows an easier introduction to the legal reasoning. I feel bad for the younger students that are determined to pick the 'right' side of a case, rather than focusing on the development of quality argument for both participants. Tl;dr Focus on a sound argument, rather than the correct outcome.
hey i am the same age and ive completed 4 units so far from my law degree, any tips on how i can better my writing skills and legal reasoning. I agree with you on the pressure and stress part i dont feel it like when i was younger.
Just stumbled across your channel and it has been such a help. 💜Just about finished my first year of my law degree. 🇦🇺 Will definitely be watching your channel more often. 😊
I read this one: Mastering Law Studies and Law Exam Techniques, 10th edition by Richard Krever xx Keep in mind it is by an Australian author and law is different all over the world
When for example I want to study criminal law but I’m an undergraduate student when I go to school do I study law in general first then branch off at a later stage or what?
