    It Will Also Tell You "What Is A Relay? & What Is It Used For?"
    The Things You Need Are:
    *6V Relay
    *10K Ohm Resistor
    *LED (Light Emitting Diode) (x2)
    *9V Battery
    *9V Battery Clip
    *6V Power Supply (If you don't have one, you can use another 9V Battery along with a 7806 Regulator)
    *Switch (Single Pole Single Throw)

    Hey Bro, I just want clear this thing to everyone, NORMALLY CLOSE (N.C.) It means that the circuit has the ability of current flow at state.NORMALLY OPEN (N.O.) it has open circuit that no current flow on circuit. Terminal 3 and 5 is (N.C.) and 3 and 4 (N.O.) When you check terminal 3 and 5 theres a light coming to it (N.C.)

    so in case anyone doesn't understand why you would need two isolated circuits, the purpose is to control a high power/voltage circuit with a lower voltage / power circuit. The high power circuit being completely isolated from contact so that risk of shock is minimized.

    In ur diagram there is mistak regarding NO n NC
    U showed vice versa
    NO means there is no contact in between tow point
    NC mean two points are in contact with each other
    After geting the power both changes their state NO to NC and Nc to NO

    Which relay would I use for 230v AC switching in this same way? I want to switch a heated towel radiator element OFF when the central heating is turned ON...

  • @ziia0528
    @ziia0528 9 років тому

    So i have a question. Though we have studied basic electronic in Civil engineering. Since you using Switch to manipulate relay for each LED to turn ON or OFF. I hope its DC current you are using as main power supply. Will we get automatic turning on and off of each LED if the supplied current to relay coil terminal was AC voltage.... ? Just a thought...

    instead of using two supplies, you can use three termninals of the switch to light two LED's! in single 6v supply

    So the resistor is there to allow the 6v relay to safely run on the 9v battery? Is that correct? How do you determine the amount of resistance needed?

    • @gauravyashjain
      @gauravyashjain  10 років тому

      SOAHCSOAHCSOAHC No, we use the resistor for the LEDs not for the relay.

    cool to know what and how a relay works but what use can it have? how about a practical example! Good job though :) " a work of art is beautiful if it's useful!
