- Belgium's PM slammed a local mayor's bid to ban a right-wing political conference attended by Nigel Farage and Suella Braverman.
Alexander De Croo slammed the 'unconstitutional' attempt to shut down the 'National Conservatism' event in Brussels on Tuesday.
Former Brexit MEP James Glancy says “he fears for free speech” after the police were told to shut down the National Conservatism conference in Brussels.
“There seems to be a new law to try and clamp down on anything you say.”

The guy hosting the discussion misses the point. A minor local council official closed down three different venues. The Belgian Constitution forbids this. Ask yourself why Labour wants to increase mayoral departments across England. It is so a Labour nobody does exactly this. Personally, I don't like Farrage & Co. But to think it is worrying to Cancel out this conference, which had PMs from assorted European countries in attendance. You really cannot call that fringe. You may not like it, but they have a voice. No one will have a voice with Labour

The law CAN stop you speaking your own mind. In a communist, socialist or left wing run country. Look at Russia , N.Korea and Scotland for example.Even The good old USA. People go missing. Accidents happen. It is naive to believe that freedom of speech actually exists. It's an illusion that sometimes gets exposed.
Is it false equivalence really? Free speech is exactly that. I may not like the voice of my neighbour, but they may not like mine. Behaviour, on the other hand, can be absolutely criminalized. Farage's bank behaved badly, for example.
